Studenthuset P52 - Student

The student house P52

The student house P52

The student house P52 is located at the upper end of the Pilestredet campus. The student house is available to all students of OsloMet.

Here you will find reading spots, group rooms, a shuffleboard and student association offices. The student house is also a venue for debate, events and film screenings throughout the year.

The student house is home to:

  • Reading spots: You will find a quiet reading room if you prefer absolute silence while studying, but there are also many places to sit in the large student hall, where events of different kinds also take place.

  • Group rooms: There are group rooms inside the quiet reading room, and separate stalls where groups can sit. There are several group-friendly zones throughout the ground floor that can be used..

  • The student hall with a stage: A range of different events take place in the student hall. Language cafés, student association days and everything in between are hosted here. All bookings are made by the Course and Conference Centre. An overview of what happens in the student hall can be found here.

  • Annas spiseri: SiO’s popular canteen ‘Annas spiseri’ is located in these premises. Yum! Download the SiO app to see the menu of the day.

  • Shuffleboard: Yes, there’s a shuffleboard in P52 – so queue up and have fun! Make sure you take care of the items that belong to the board.

  • Samfunnet Bislett: OsloMet’s own and currently only student pub, offering quizzes, concerts, stand-up, improv, swap meets and other fun activities. You are welcome to join us!

  • Student associations: Student life is more fun if you join a student association. There are around 50 student associations at OsloMet, so there should be something of interest for most people.

The Student Centre

  • The Student Centre: Can assist you with general student counselling, information about applications and admissions, supervision and help to students, among other things.

  • The student parliament: The student parliament ensures that students’ voices are heard in all cases, and works to improve the everyday lives of OsloMet’s students.

  • Career and student supervision and admissions supervision: Are you unsure about your chosen degree or what to do after graduating? Or do you need to discuss your CV?

  • Adaption guidance: Do you have a functional impairment or an illness that makes it challenging to be a student?

The student hall – a thriving atmosphere

The student hall is the big, open hall with a stage, reading and eating spots and large windows facing the square between P52 and P50. Here you can read, study in groups and participate in both small and big events throughout the academic year.

The student hall is a multi-purpose venue for events and activities in addition to being one of the most attractive study and lunch areas on campus. You can expect a lively atmosphere throughout the academic year.

If you are easily disturbed by noise, you will find a quiet reading room in the same building. There are also reading rooms in other buildings that are available to all OsloMet’s students. If you would like to know whether something is taking place in the student hall before you find a spot and settle down, you can have a look at this overview or ask at the Student Centre.
