Mandatory attendance 12 August
It is mandatory to attend the first day of class, as you will be registering on this day. If you do not attend, your admission to study will be revoked.
The Master's programme has two start up dates:
If you have your educational background from outside the department of Product Design at OsloMet, you will need to attend a mandatory course on HSE (Health, Security and Environment) to be certified to use our workshop facilities and machines.
The HSE course starts on Monday 4 August at 10:00 and ends at 15:00. Tuesday to Friday, the course runs from 9:00 am to 15:00. Remember a valid ID for your new student card. Please note that you will also have to attend the registration on August 12, when the academic year starts up (details below)
The start of the semester is 12 August, and takes place on campus Kjeller. If you need a new student card, remember to bring valid identification.

09:00-09:45: Joint welcome ceremony for all new students at Campus Kjeller in Østre Gate

10:00-13:00: Welcome ceremony for new product design students at the master’s programme in product design, including registration, lunch, and information. Place: Room A324 at Campus Kjeller – mandatory attendance

The registration itself takes place digitally via mobile phone. You will receive an SMS with information shortly before August 12th.
Have you accepted your offer?
You must accept the offer of admission in Søknadsweb within the given deadline. Please get in touch with opptak@oslomet.no as soon as possible if you have accepted your offer, but are unable to participate in the programme. Remember to include your application number in the email.

Access to OsloMet's systems
You will receive information about activating your IT account in the weeks before your semester start. If you have not received this on the first day of study, please contact your faculty.
Use the information to activate your IT account. When you log in to student.oslomet.no, you will find shortcuts to the tools you need in your everyday study.
When you have registered for the semester, you will see your personal timetable in the Outlook calendar and on "my page" at student.oslomet.no. Your courses will also appear in Canvas.

Not able to attend the first day
If you are not able to attend the first day due to illness or other compelling reasons, you must apply for a postponed study start. Please send an application to (sett inn aktuelt infosenter) Include:

Date for when you will be able to attend.
Applying for exemption
You can apply for exemption from a course or an examination if you have already passed an equivalent course/examination. It is not possible to apply for exemption before you start your studies.
