    Application for special arrangements

The application deadline for this semester has expired. If you are in need of exam facilitation due to illness/injury/condition, please contact the exam office for instructions on how to proceed.

To apply, fill out the digital application and upload the necessary documentation alongside with it. We do not accept requests or documents via email.

Documentation can be submitted later and does not need to be attached at the time of application, but it must be uploaded within one month after the application deadline.

    Application deadlines

    • Exams in the autumn semester: September 15
    • Exams in the spring semester: February 1

Please note that applications received after the deadline will not be processed until we have reviewed all applications received within the deadline.

When will you get an answer?

You will receive a written response within 15 working days after the application deadline. The letter will be sent via Digipost. You can also view the resolution on Studentweb (fsweb.no) under "Upcoming events" or "Active courses."

  • Documentation requirements

    Documentation

As part of the application, you must upload a certificate from a doctor or other expert. The documentation must clearly state the challenges you face during the exam, i.e. what challenges the special arrangements need to compensate for.

Checklist for what the documentation must include:

    • Student's full name, date of birth, and social security number

    • Signature and stamp from the doctor

    • Description of the illness, condition, and/or disability and the limitations this entails in the exam situation

    • Whether the condition is chronic, or expected duration if applicable

If applying for accommodations due to reading and writing difficulties, you must have a comprehensive report from an expert.

Documentation from a doctor/expert is considered advisory and should be taken into account but is not binding. The accommodations granted may not always be exactly what the student has applied for. A diagnosis in itself does not automatically entail a specific type of accommodation.
