Regulations relating to studies and examinations at OsloMet - Oslo Metropolitan University
Legal basis: Approved by the Board of OsloMet – (Oslo Metropolitan University) 15 June, in accordance with Act of 1 April 2005 no. 15 Relating to Universities and University Colleges § 3-3, § 3-5, § 3-8, § 3-9, 3-10, § 3-11, and § 5-3, the National Regulations of 16 December 2005 no. 1574 Relating to Degrees and Vocational Education, Protected Titles and Nominal Progression of Study at Universities and University Colleges § 27, and the National Regulations of 1 December 2005 no. 1392 Relating to Requirements for the Master’s Degree, § 2. Chapter 1. General provisions
§ 1-1. Scope
(1) The regulations apply to studies and exams at OsloMet.
(2) For doctoral degrees, the regulations on the degree of philosophiae doctor (Ph.D.) at OsloMet - metropolitan university, with associated regulations apply.
(3) For admissions, the regulations on admission to studies at OsloMet - metropolitan university apply. Rules for admission to doctoral studies are provided in the regulations of the degree of philosophiae doctor (Ph.D.) at OsloMet - metropolitan university.
(4) If this regulation conflicts with national laws or curriculum (rammeplaner), the provisions of the law and the curriculum (rammeplan) will apply.
Chapter 2. Degrees and education
§ 2-1. Issuing of degrees
The faculty issues degrees for the study programs for which the faculty has the academic and administrative responsibility, in accordance with the regulations on degrees and professional education, protected title and standardized study time at universities and colleges.
§ 2-2. Education
(1) OsloMet issues the following degrees:
a) University College Candidate (høgskolekandidat), standard study time 2 years.
b) Bachelor, standard study time 3 years.
c) Master, standard study time 1 ½ - 2 years.
d) Master, standard study time 5 years.
e) Philosophiae doctor (Ph.D.), standard study time 3 years.
f) Primary School Teacher for grades 1.-7. and 5.-10. Standard study time 4 years, for students that started before 2017.
(2) OsloMet offers further education (videreutdanning) that is based on completed higher education. The university also offers studies that are of shorter duration.
§ 2-3. Bachelor’s degree
(1) The bachelor's degree is obtained based on an education of 180 ECTS credits in one of the following study paths:
a) Study program of 180 ECTS credits according to the program plan for the study program.
b) Integrated education, vocational education or other study program with a scope of at least 120 ECTS credits, with the addition of course or course groups totaling 60 ECTS credits, determined in the program plan for the study. For foreign education or in some cases, the faculty can also approve other course combinations than formally established units of 60 ECTS credits. Such a combination should then constitute a natural academic unit.
c) Self-selected bachelor's program, which should consist of a specialization unit of a minimum of 90 ECTS credits and a breadth unit of a minimum of 30 ECTS credits. The two units must be formally established as completed education, courses, course groups or study programs. The specialization unit must be an integrated education or course, course group or other study program offered by the university. The breadth unit must be a course, course group or study program. Up to 30 ECTS credits of the remaining studies that shall be included in the basis of the bachelor’s degree, can consist of independent courses or courses from other study programs.
d) Completed the 3 first years of study (180 ECTS credits) of the 4-year primary school teacher education according to the curriculum regulations (forskrift om rammeplan). Completion of the first 3 years of the 4-year general teacher education can also form the basis for a bachelor's degree.
(2) The basis for the bachelor's degree must include an independent work of at least 15 ECTS credits. The work may be of a theoretical, practical, or artistic nature and may be carried out individually or in a group.
§ 2-4. Additional designation for the bachelor’s degree
(1) For achieved bachelor's degree, the academic content of the degree (additional designation) is indicated on the diploma as follows:
a) For a bachelor's degree according to § 2-3 first paragraph letter a: either: "Bachelor in designation of a field or study program according to the program plan", optionally with additional specification of line, study track or similar, or "bachelor - designation of teacher education according to curriculum regulations (rammeplan) for the teacher education in question".
b) For a bachelor's degree according to § 2-3 first paragraph letter b: "bachelor in designation of study program according to the program plan".
c) For a bachelor's degree according to § 2-3 letter c: "bachelor in designation of main academic area that the academic specialization of at least 90 ECTS credits is defined under" as follows:
either "bachelor in health sciences" or "bachelor in culture and social sciences" or "bachelor in technical sciences".
d) For a bachelor's degree according to § 2-3 first paragraph letter d:
either "bachelor in primary school subjects grades 1.–7." or "bachelor in primary school grades 5.–10." when the degree is obtained based on the completion of the first 3 years of a 4-year primary school teacher education on the respective study track or "bachelor in primary school teaching subjects" when the degree is obtained based on completetion of the first 3 years of a 4-year general teacher education.
§ 2-5. Master's degree
(1) The general requirements for a master's degree are laid down in the Regulations of 1 December 2005 No. 1392 regarding requirements for a master's degree. The degree is obtained with:
a. master's degree with a scope of 120 ECTS credits.
b. Integrated master's degree with a scope of 300 ECTS credits.
c. Experience-based master's degree with a scope of 90 or 120 ECTS credits.
(2) In the master's degree according to letter a and c, an independent work, a master's thesis, with a scope of at least 30 ECTS credits must be included. In the master's degree according to letter b, an independent work, master's thesis, with a scope of at least 20 ECTS credits must be included.
(3) The independent work, the master's thesis, must be completed as part of the master's program at OsloMet. Degrees obtained in collaboration with other Norwegian or foreign institutions are exempt from this requirement.
§ 2-6. Additional designation for the master’s degree
For an obtained master's degree of 1 ½ or 2 years extent, the degree is indicated on the diploma as follows: "Master in designation of the study program according to the program plan".
§ 2-7. Additional designation for the University college candidate degree
For the obtained degree as a university college candidate, the degree is normally indicated as "University College Candidate in designation of the study program's name" in accordance with the program plan.
§ 2-8. Joint degrees
(1) For a degree obtained in collaboration with other institutions, the same requirements for content and composition generally apply as otherwise.
(2) For joint degrees, exceptions may be established for the affiliation requirement according to § 8-2 (5).
Chapter 3. Studies
§ 3-1. General provisions
(1) At OsloMet, studies should be organized in study programs.
(2) A program plan and course plan must be established for all study programs and courses offered at OsloMet. The program plan shall specify which assessments in the study that shall be included on the diploma or counted in as a grade on the diploma or transcript of grades, and which grading expressions shall be used.
(3) All students admitted to a study program consisting of a minimum of 60 ECTS credits or more should have an education plan, cf. the University and College Act § 4-2. The education plan should be confirmed by the student each semester. Changes to the plan can be made with an agreement between OsloMet and the student.
(4) A course at OsloMet should normally consist of a minimum of 10 ECTS credits and be divisible by 5.
§ 3-2. Establishment, modification, and discontinuation of study programmes and courses
(1) Changes in the program plan shall not come into effect until the new academic year. Changes in course plan can take effect before each new semester.
(2) In the event of significant changes to the course plan after publication, affected students should be informed at least four weeks before the change takes effect.
(3) When study programmes and courses are discontinued, a transition period shall be established for teaching and examinations.
(4) The principal can establish closer guidelines for discontinuation and establishment of new studies and changes to the program plans and course plans.
§ 3-3. Approval
(1) A previously obtained degree, vocational education or other study programs with a three year scope or more that has resulted in a separate diploma from a college degree that now is a part of OsloMet, cannot be converted to a bachelor's degree. A previously awarded civil librarian degree, main course candidate degree (hovedfagskandidat) or cand.polit. degree from a university college which is now part of OsloMet cannot be converted to a master's degree.
(2) The faculty assesses and determines applications for academic approval in accordance to the University and College Act.
(3) The principal can establish guidelines for the assessment of applications for exemptions from parts of the study that is based on documentation of experience-based qualification (realkompetanse)
(4) The principal can establish guidelines for the assessment of applications for academic approval of other higher education where the required qualification is documented in ways other than through examination.
§ 3-4. Tuition
(1) The academic year at OsloMet begins mid-august and ends in late June. The principal can establish periodical terms for teaching. The principal determines the date for when the fall semester will begin.
(2) Tuition and ordinary examinations take place within the academic year.
(3) Practical studies, the international summer school, preliminary courses, collection-based studies, assignment studies, international joint courses and similar activities can take place outside the academic year.
§ 3-5. Mandatory activities
(1) Requirements for activity, such as participation in mandatory tuition, submission of work requirements or other, shall be stated in the program plan or course plan.
(2) The student does not have the right to retake mandatory activities that are approved.
§ 3-6. Exchange
(1) During the course of their studies, a student should have the opportunity to complete parts of their education at foreign educational institutions, as part of their bachelor and/or master's degree.
(2) OsloMet may impose additional requirements for all student who are going on exchange. These requirements may relate to study progression, the student's advancement in their studies, requirements at the receiving institution, or other requirements.
(3) The institution responsible for assessing suitability (skikkethet) may decide that students under special suitability assessment (særskilt skikkethetsvurdering) are not allowed to go on exchange.
§ 3-7. Adaption of study situation
(1) OsloMet shall facilitate so that students with disabilities and special needs get equal training and education opportunities. If design for universal accessibility is not sufficient, students with special needs have the right to suitable individual adaptation of the place of study, teaching, learning materials and examination. The measures to compensate for disabilities can be of a physical, organizational or pedagogical nature.
(2) A student with special needs for adaptation must within specific deadlines apply for adaptation of the study situation. If the need for adaptation arises after the set deadline, the application must be submitted as soon as possible after the need was arised. The adaptation must not reduce the academic requirements of the respective education and must not impose a disproportionate burden on the institution
(3) The principal may establish further guidelines for the adaptation of the study situation.
§ 3-8. Adaptation for pregnant students
(1) A student who is pregnant has the right to postponed examination if the examination date is in the period between three weeks before the due date and six weeks after birth. The child's other parent has the right to postponed.
(2) (2) A pregnant student can apply for individual adaptation of the study situation according to this regulation § 4-3.
Chapter 4. Right to study and leave of absence
§ 4-1. General regulations on the right to study
(1) the right to study is granted through a decision on admission to the program or course study or course.
(2) The right to study is established by accepting the offer of a study place, semester registration, payment of the semester fee, and attendance at the beginning of the semester. Exceptions to the requirement to pay the semester fee apply to incoming exchange students under OsloMet's exchange agreements.
(3) The right to study ceases when the student withdraws from the study program or course in writing, when the student has completed the study or course, or due to loss of the right to study according to cf. § 4.4.
§ 4-2. Study progression
(1) The student is required to follow the study progression set in the program plan.
(2) If the student is delayed in the studies compared to the standard duration, the study right is normally retained for up to one additional year. The time calculation of this one-year period does not include postponed study start, temporary suspension from the university, and leaves of absence.
(3) In special cases, the student can apply for extended admission to a course or specific programme of study and changes to their educational plan, cf. this regulation § 3-7.
§ 4-3. Leave of absence from studies (permisjon)
(1) The student has the right to a leave of absence from studies due to pregnancy, adoption, childcare, military service according to the national defense Act (forsvarsloven) § 17, positions in student political bodies and when other special reasons occur. Students should be granted a leave of absence as long as the need is present.
(2) The student can also apply for a leave of absence from studies for up to one year for other reasons. In such cases, the student: a) has completed a minimum of 30 ECTS credits in the last academic year. b) have completed a minimum of 60 ECTS credits since the last leave of absence.
(3) A student with granted leave of absence retains the admission to a course or specific programme of study and the right to take exams. To be eligible for examinations, the student must be registered for the semester, have paid the semester fee, and meet the conditions for taking examinations according to regulation § 6-3 and § 6-4.
(4) The faculty makes decisions regarding applications for leave of absence.
§ 4-4. Loss of the right to study
(1) The student may lose the admission to a course or specific programme of study in the following circumstances:
a) The student has not paid the semester fee or other fees established in accordance with the regulation on self-payment at universities and colleges
b) The student does not perform the actions described in § 4-1 second paragraph, where it is required.
c) The student has exceeded the established limit for standard duration with any additional time, cf. § 4-2 second paragraph.
d) The student has not passed or completed exams according to the education plan in the last academic year, without having been on a leave of absence.
e) The student exhausted the allowed number of attempts for examinations or practical studies according to provisions in the program curriculum (programplan) and this regulation
f) The student has been admitted based on false or forged documentation.
g) The student loses authorization during the study that was part of the admission requirements.
h) Students admitted on certain conditions that do not meet the admission requirements within the set deadline.
(2) The faculty makes decisions regarding cases on the loss of the right to study. The Department of Education at OsloMet can also make decisions about the loss of the right to study after paragraph a.
Chapter 5. Practical training
§ 5-1. General regulations regarding practical training
(1) Where practical training is subject to academic assessment, the student shall receive consistent guidance and feedback so that the student is informed about how they are performing in relation to the requirements for passing the training.
(2) For each internship period, there should be a minimum of a mid-term evaluation, and a final evaluation where the student's performance is assessed with regard to the learning outcomes for the practical learning period. The student shall receive a copy of the evaluations.
(3) For shorter internship periods, a mid-term evaluation may be omitted.
(4) Attendance requirements must be outlined in the course plan, and as a general rule these requirements cannot be waived due to the student having documented their absence.
§ 5-2. In case of doubt regarding student passing the practical training
(1) If there is doubt whether the student will pass the practical period, the faculty shall notify the student in writing as early as possible. Further deadlines for such notification may be provided in national framework plans/guidelines for each specific education. The student shall also be offered a conversation at the same time as the notification.
(2) The notification shall be provided in writing and specify what the student does not master, and which requirements must be fulfilled for the student to pass the practical training.
§ 5-3. Non-passing of practical training
(1) The student may receive the result "not-passed" after an academic assessment, cf. § 5-1 (1).
(2) The student can receive the result "not-passed", without a written notice having been given in advance if:
a. The student does not meet the requirements for attendance or arrival
b. The student does not get the opportunity to complete the internship period due to circumstances due to the students own actions.
c. The student at the end of the internship period exhibits behavior or actions that undoubtedly provides a basis for not passing the practical training.
d. The students practical training period is of shorter duration, cf. § 5-1 (3).
(3) If there is an academic assessment with the grade "not-passed", a committee appointed by the faculty may confirm or annul the grade.
§ 5-4. Dismissal from practical training
(1) If the student shows such behavior during the practical training that the place where the training is held considers it unsafe to have the student in training, they can dismiss the student.
(2) The place where the practical training is held shall as soon as possible notify the faculty, with a recommendation for a final assessment and the basis for the decision of dismissal. The faculty makes the decision about the termination of the training period, and the student will receive the grade “not-passed”.
§ 5-5. Documented absence and rescheduled practical training
(1) Students who, due to documented illness or other compelling reasons for absence, cannot complete the internship can apply for deferred practical training. The application must be given to the faculty.
(2) A deferred internship can be granted when it is executable in terms of the assignment of practical training places.
(3) The faculty decides whether students with absence from the practical trainings as per the first paragraph must retake the entire internship period, and when the deferred internship can be completed.
(4) Students who have not passed practical training must retake the entirety of the practical training the next time the practical training period is offered ordinarily.
(5) If the student gets the internship period annulled due to formal errors, a new practical learning period shall be arranged as soon as possible.
§ 5-6. Number of attempts
(1) Practical training that the student has not passed counts as one attempt. The student is entitled to one new internship period if the first was assessed as "not-passed".
(2) If a new granted practical learning period as per the first paragraph is assessed as "not-passed”", the faculty can grant a third and final attempt if any special reasons for it are present.
Chapter 6. Examination
§ 6-1. General provisions
(1) The term "examination" in this chapter refers to an assessment that will appear on a diploma or transcript. For courses of supervised professional training, Chapter 5 also applies.
(2) How the examination will be carried out and what aids that are permitted for the examination shall be stipulated in the course description.
(3) The term "deferred exam" (utsatt eksamen) refers to an assessment arranged for students who have documented absence from the regular examination in accordance with this regulation § 6-6 (2).
(4) The term "re-examination" refers to an assessment arranged for students who have completed but not passed the regular examination.
(5) The principal may establish further guidelines for the implementation of examinations.
§ 6-2. Conducts of exams
(1) The language of instruction and assignment at OsloMet is Norwegian unless otherwise specified in the program plan or course description. The program plan or course may specify provisions for the use of English or other languages in examination questions and examination answers.
(2) In all forms of examination, the answer must be submitted in the manner and by the deadline determined.
(3) The principal may establish further guidelines for the conduct of examinations.
§ 6-3. Registration for examination
(1) Registration for the ordinary examination must be done according to specified deadlines.
(2) Separate deadlines apply for registration for re-examination and deferred examination.
(3) The student is responsible for verifying that the examination registration is correct in Studentweb.
(4) The course description may specify prerequisite requirements that must be met for the student to be eligible to register for a course. The requirement must be academically justified.
§ 6-4. Conditions for taking an exam
(1) Conditions for taking an exam shall be specified in the course plan. Requirements such as assignments, compulsory activities, attendance, or completed practical training may be specified as needing to be fulfilled in order for the student being able to take the exam.
(2) Students who have not paid the semester fee by the deadline in accordance with the Student Welfare Organization Act, or other fee determined in accordance with the regulation on self-payment at universities and colleges, will not have the right to take exams.
§ 6-5. External candidates (privatist)
(1) Individuals who meet the requirements for admission and other conditions for taking the exam, but who do not have a right to study (studierett) at OsloMet, may apply to the faculty for permission to take the exam in the course as a private candidate (privatist).
(2) The rights of external candidates are limited to taking the exam in the respective course. External candidates shall be given access to teaching materials that are published for regular students in the course.
(3) External candidates must pay the semester fee and the examination fee within the deadlines specified in accordance with the guidelines for self-payment at OsloMet.
(4) A student who is enrolled at OsloMet and therefore has a right to study shall not pay an examination fee when he or she takes an exam in a course in another program than the one they are enrolled in.
(5) A student who has used up his or her examination attempts does not have access to the exam as an external candidate in the same course.
§ 6-6. Cancellation, withdrawal, and absence from the exam
(1) The deadline for withdrawal from an exam is 14 days before the examination date and must be done by the student in Studentweb.
(2) If the student is prevented from attending the exam or must interrupt an examination before the submission deadline due to illness or other significant reasons for absence, the exam can be postponed, and it will not be counted as an examination attempt. Documentation of the absence must be submitted to the faculty no later than one week after the exam date.
(3) If the student does not show up for the exam, it will be considered as one attempt.
(4) If the student withdraws during the exam or does not submit the exam within the deadline, it will be considered as one attempt.
§ 6-7. Re-examination and deferred examination
(1) Re-examination and deferred examinations are arranged for students with documented absence from the exam according to § 6-6 (2) or those who have failed the exam.
(2) Re-examination and deferred examination shall be arranged within a reasonable time after the regular examination.
(3) Students who do not complete or do not pass the re-examination or deferred examination, do not have the right to take the exam again before the next time the ordinary examination is held. This also applies to students who have had documented absence at the re-examination or deferred examination.
(4) Re-examination and deferred examination normally have the same form of assessment as the regular examination. A different form of assessment for re-examination and deferred examination can as an exception be specified in the course plan.
(5) For subjects or courses that are being discontinued, the following applies: If, after the re-examination or deferred examination, there are still students who have not passed or have had documented absence, a third and final examination can be arranged upon application. This third examination must be arranged within one year after the last ordinary examination.
§ 6-8. Accommodation of the examination
(1) The student can apply for accommodation of the examination within specified deadlines. The application must be documented and provide a description of the disability and specify the need for accommodation.
(2) If the need for accommodation arises after the application deadline, a documented application must be submitted as soon as possible.
(3) The accommodation should compensate for the disadvantages the student faces during examination. The accommodation should not give the student an advantage in the examination situation and should not lead to a reduction of academic requirements.
(4) The principal may establish further guidelines for the accommodation of examinations at OsloMet.
§ 6-9. Number of attempts for the examination
(1) It is not permitted to take an exam in the same course more than 3 times.
(2) Upon application, the student may in special cases be granted a 4th attempt at the examination.
(3) A 4th attempt at the examination is not granted if the student has passed the course.
(4) A student who has had a master's thesis assessed as “not passed”, can submit a new or revised master's thesis once. It is not possible to have a new or revised master's thesis assessed in the same study program if the original submission was assessed as passed.
(5) Students in the Master of Economics and Administration program, a specialization in Accounting and Auditing, who have had a master's thesis assessed with a D or E, can submit a new master's thesis on a new basis once.
(6) A student who fails a bachelor's thesis, main project, and other major assignments of 10 ECTS credits or more with a self-designed problem, can, unless otherwise stated in the program plan, submit a revised version for assessment once.
(7) Submission of a revised version of practice-related assignments worth less than 10 ECTS credits with a grade of "not passed" if it’s not possible to change the problem statement without the student having to retake the practical learning period.
(8) For students who have been absent from a study program for three years and have been re-admitted to the same study program, the study starts anew with new attempts at examination and practice. For students who have had a break from the study for less than three years and have been re-admitted to the same study program, previous attempts at examination and practical learning attempts count.
Chapter 7. Grading, complaints, and cheating
§ 7-1. General provisions
(1) Grading is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the University and College Act (universitets- og høyskoleloven).
(2) For master's theses, grading must be completed within six weeks after the submission deadline.
(3) The identity of the candidate shall, to the extent possible, be kept confidential from the examiner in written examinations.
(4) A candidate who has submitted an examination paper cannot avoid grading.
(5) The use of examiners shall be specified in the course description in the program plan.
(6) If there is a disagreement about the determination of a grade, a new examiner shall be appointed to make the decision.
(7) The principal established guidelines for the appointment and use of examiners.
§ 7-2. Right to justification (begrunnelse)
In line with the University and College Act, the student has the right to a grade justification. The faculty decides whether the justification should be given orally or in writing.
§ 7-3. Complaint about grade
(1) The student may issue a complaint regarding the grade determination in accordance with the provisions in the University and College Act.
(2) in the case of continuous assessment, it should be specified in the course plan when a complaint can be submitted.
(3) Students can issue a complaint on a grade for a group exam individually. If the grade is changed on the basis of the complaint, the change will only apply to the student who has issued the complaint.
(4) After a complaint on the grading of an exam the new grading must be be available within four weeks from the expiration of the complaint deadline.
§ 7-4. Complaint about formal errors
The student may complain about formal errors in accordance with the provisions in the University and College Act.
§ 7-5. Cheating
(1) Cheating in an exam can result in exclusion and annulment of the exam or mandatory activity.
(2) Acts constituting cheating or attempted cheating include, among others:
a. having unlawful aids available during the exam or mandatory activity
b. presenting others' work as your own
c. citing or reusing your own previously submitted work that has given credit without sufficient source reference. Works that have given credit mean works that have either given the student the right to take an exam or resulted in study credits. The reuse of one’s own previous works that has given credit can be allowed if this is stated in the program plan or course plan.
d. citing or otherwise using sources without adequate source reference.
e. Unlawful collaboration with others
f. acting contrary to the current guidelines or regulations for the individual mandatory activity or exam.
g. assisting in cheating.
(3) In cases of suspected cheating, the faculty may withhold grading until the case is resolved. The student is not allowed to take a new exam in the course until the case has been resolved.
(4) When the case is submitted to the Committee for Student Affairs at OsloMet, the student has the right, according to the University and College Act to be assisted by a lawyer or another spokesperson covered by OsloMet.
(5) Annulment of an exam due to cheating is counted as one exam attempt, cf. this regulation § 6-9.
(6) The principal can provide further guidelines for the handling of cases about cheating and attempted cheating.
8. Diplomas and final documentation
§ 8-1. General provisions
(1) The faculty issues diplomas.
(2) Diplomas are issued when the student has completed their degree. A diploma supplement should be issued at the same time.
(3) Diplomas and Diploma Supplements are published in the diploma portal (vitnemålsportalen).
(4) Students who want to improve grades in courses can apply to postpone the diploma for up to one year. The diploma will state that a grade has been improved after the degree has been awarded.
(5) Paper diplomas can be given upon application, or where digital diplomas are impractical.
(6) Duplicates of previous paper diplomas will be issued digitally in the diploma portal.
(7) Diplomas for self-selected bachelor's degree can be issued upon application to the faculty.
(8) Education programs for further education, studies of a smaller scope, incomplete degree studies or vocational studies are documented by a transcript of records or a qualification certificate.
§ 8-2. Affiliation requirements for issuing a diploma
(1) For issuing a diploma for an achieved degree or vocational education, a minimum of 60 ECTS credits included in the degree must have been completed at OsloMet.
(2) For the accreditation of education that has previously been included in the calculation basis for a previously awarded degree, or as part of a degree or vocational education, the student must also have completed a minimum of 60 new ECTS credits at OsloMet before a new degree can be awarded from OsloMet.
(3) For a new master's degree, the new ECTS credits must include a different master's thesis than the thesis that was included in the basis for the previously awarded master's degree.
(4) Exceptions from the affiliation requirement can be made for master's programs in health and social sciences that are based on curriculum-controlled further education within the same field, meaning that curriculum-controlled further education in the same field can be approved as part of the degree.
(5) Exceptions from the affiliation requirement may be established for joint degrees under § 2-8.
Chapter 9. Supplementary provisions. Effective date
§ 9-1. Guidelines and supplementary provisions
The Education Committee at OsloMet can establish guidelines and supplementary provisions within the framework of this regulation.
§ 9-2. Entry into force
The regulation enters into force from August 1, 2023. As of the same date, regulation 26. June 2012 no. 718 on studies and examinations at OsloMet - metropolitan university is repealed.
