Innledning
The following coursework requirements must be approved before the student can take the exam:
- 80 % attendance and participation in face-to-face weeks and online sessions.
- Presentation of a digital portfolio that includes the following oral and written tasks
- Oral presentation in group of a grammatical issue for the defined target group (10 minutes)
- Oral presentation in group of a cultural aspect for the defined target group (15 minutes)
- Online grammar test
- Individual written assignment on an authentic text from the course curriculum (1000 words +/- 10 %)
- Individual reflection note on own practice of language teaching (350-500 words)
- Individual creation and elaboration of one audiovisual document to assess progress and skills.

A student who has completed this course has the following learning outcomes defined in terms of knowledge, skills and general competence:
Knowledge
The student
- has thorough knowledge of theories about the global digital divide, distance education and mobile learning, as well as gender aspects related to education and technology in the South
- has advanced understanding of the role of education in development and the role of technology in global education
Skills
The student
- can analyse and deal critically with various sources of information, and use them to structure and formulate scholary arguments on the use of technology in education and development in the South
- can, under supervision, carry out an independent, limited literature review on aspects of the use of technology in education and development in the South
General competence
The student
- can communicate about academic issues, analysis and conclusions in the field of education and development in the South, both with academics and the general public

Arbeids- og undervisningsformer
A grade scale with A being the highest grade and E the poorest pass grade is used. The grade F means that the student has failed the exam.
Arbeidskrav og obligatoriske aktiviteter
For praksisstudier er det krav om 80 % tilstedeværelse i teori, aktiviteter og praksisforberedende undervisning som er merket obligatorisk i timeplan, samt 90 % tilstedeværelse i selve praksisperioden. Studenten fyller ut egenpresentasjonsskjema til praksisstart, turnusplan i løpet av første praksisuke og egenvurderingsskjema seneste to virkedager før avtalt midt- og sluttvurdering.

1. Grammatical expertise in Spanish as a Second Language.
1.1. Spanish Grammar for Foreigners (I): common problems and their approach.
1.2. Grammar of Spanish for Foreigners (II): detection of mistakes and deadlocks.
1.3. Sayings, idiomatic expressions and idioms. The richness of the traditional and the metaphorical uses of language.
2. Communicative approaches and vocabulary teaching.
2.1. The relevance of register: adequacy and contextualisation. The pragmatics of speech.
2.2. Phraseology: straight and transferred uses. Colloquiality and precision.
2.3. The lexical increase: detail and connotation. Synonymies of everyday use and variety of terms for specificity.
3. Natural speech and oral Spanish in Spanish as a Second Language.
3.1. Diction, intonation and accent as correction marks.
3.2. The nuance: options and alternatives for an individualized expression of feeling and mood.
3.3. Oral Spanish in Spanish as a Second Language classroom: listening comprehension.
4. Culture and society in the Spanish-speaking world.
4.1. Short introduction to the History of Spain.
4.2. Political and territorial organisation: central state and autonomic system.
4.3. Leisure and time off: popular festivities and traditions.
