MASYD4500 Clinical Ethics Course description

The essay will be graded by the course lectures.

The target group for the course are candidates from the PhD programme in Social Work and Social Policy, but it will also be open to PhD students on other programs who wish to study the field in depth.

Internal candidates register the course in their Studentweb and send a summary, maximum one page, of their project to the PhD administration.

External candidates apply through the Søknadsweb. The following documentation must be enclosed:

1. Confirmation on admission to a PhD program2. Summary of your research proposal (approx.one page) and how this PhD course will be relevant for your research project

Maximum number of participants is 15.

For å kunne fremstille seg til eksamen må følgende være godkjent:

• Oppgave: Klinisk etikk: Skriftlig oppgave i gruppe på 3-4 studenter, omfang 1500 ord (+/- 10 prosent). Muntlig fremlegg av oppgaven for medstudenter og lærer(e). Muntlige kommentarer fra medstudenter. Muntlig tilbakemelding fra lærer.
• Dokumentasjon av selvvalgt litteratur: 350 sider

Vurderingsform

Individuell skriftlig hjemmeeksamen over 3 dager. Omfang: 3000 ord(+/- 10 prosent).

Vurderingsuttrykk

Bokstavkarakter i skalaen A-F, der A er beste karakter, E er laveste beståtte karakter, og F er ikke bestått.

Hver besvarelse vurderes av to sensorer. Uttrekk på minimum 20 prosent av besvarelsene vurderes av ekstern sensor. Intern sensor fortsetter deretter sensuren sammen med annen intern sensor. Ekstern sensors vurdering skal komme alle studentene til gode.
