Introduction
The course has two compulsory activities:
1. Skills training in writing and documentation carried out across the three courses: BV2200, BV2300 and BV2600. Attendance for skills training is calculated across the three courses in BV2600.
The attendance requirement for compulsory teaching activities is 80%. If a student's overall absence exceeds 20%, a comprehensive coursework requirement is set to compensate. If a student's overall absence exceeds 40%, they lose the right to take the exam in BV2600.
Each student is responsible for ensuring that their attendance is documented. The length of the teaching days will vary, and it is each student's own responsibility to stay informed about the teaching schedule.

Recommended preliminary courses
MAART4100 Introduction to Methods and Ethics of Art Therapy, MAART4200 Assessment and Intervention Methods in Art Therapy, MAART4300 Art Therapy in Prevention, Treatment, or Rehabilitation, MAART4400 Emotions and Relations in Art Therapy.
Required preliminary courses
An individual written home exam over 72 hours with a scope of 8-10 pages. Font and font size: Calibri 12-point. Line spacing 1.5. The approved citation style APA for assignments must be complied with.
Candidates who fail or who were absent from the ordinary exam for a valid reason can take a resit/rescheduled exam.

After completing the course, the student is expected to have achieved the following learning outcomes defined in terms of knowledge, skills and competence:
Knowledge

- can critically consider and use ethical principles in evaluating practice
- can analyse and evaluate practice experiences to improve the quality and evidence-base of art therapy
Skills
The student:
- can apply different methods and tools to evaluate the process and outcome of art therapy
- can critically reflect and evaluate art therapy process and outcome
- can adjust and develop own practice work in a constructive and flexible manner according to the experiences and evidence of the process and outcome
Competence
The student:
- can evaluate the process and outcome of art therapy
- can contribute to professional collaboration and developing of the quality of art therapy services
Teaching and learning methods
Grade scale A-F.
Course requirements
All exam papers are assessed by one internal and one external examiner.
Assessment
The course further develops knowledge from the courses Law - Child protection law, and Child protection in the welfare state - Notification of concern, investigation and preventive measures.
Permitted exam materials and equipment
All aids are permitted, as long as the rules for source referencing are complied with.

Graded scale A-F
Examiners
All exams are assessed by two examiners, of whom at least one is external.
Overlapping courses
BITPRA 6000 overlaps 60 hours of the art therapy practice. 60 hours of the practice hours can be replaced by it.
