DATA2410 Datanettverk og skytjenester Emneplan

Studentene skal tilegne seg kunnskaper om TCP/IP og de ulike protokollene som benyttes på internett. Studentene skal forstå hvordan internett fungerer i dag og hvilke komponentene som bygger opp et datanettverk. Studenter skal tilegne seg innsikt i moderne teknologi for skytjenester. De skal gjennom praktiske øvelser få kunnskap om datapakkenes oppbygning og ulike skytjenestearkitektur.

Kunnskap

Studenten kan:

• kjenne til hovedfunksjonene på hvert lag i TCP/IP modellen
• forklare virkemåten til de viktigste nettverksprotokollene
• kjenne til hvilke driftsmessige og infrastrukturelle muligheter virtualisering og nettskybaserte løsninger tilbyr

Ferdigheter

Studenten kan:

• konfigurere datanettverk
• bruke nettverksverktøy til å studere datatrafikk
• programmerere sockets
• benytte automatiseringsverktøy for utrulling av applikasjoner og støttende infrastruktur
• anvende nettskybaserte tjenester som utviklingsplattform
• benytte monitoreringssystem for å overvåke ytelsen og stabiliteten til applikasjoner og driftsmiljøer

Generell kompetanse:

Studenten kan:

• forstå og formidle problemstillinger innen nettverk og datasystemer.
• formidle viktigheten og nødvendigheten av å bruke gode metoder og teknologier i forhold til skytjenester

Forelesninger og lab-kurs. Øvingene er basert på individuelt arbeid og gruppearbeid med veiledning fra faglærer og/eller studentassistent.

Følgende arbeidskrav er obligatorisk og må være godkjent for å fremstille seg til eksamen:

Veiledning for oppgavene vil bli gitt i øvingene.

Eksamen består av to deler

• en individuell oppgave/ praktisk eksamen (40% av karakteren), opptil 15 sider
• en avsluttende skriftlig eksamen 4 timer (60% av karakteren)

Begge eksamener må vurderes til bestått for at studenten skal kunne få bestått emnet.

Eksamensresultat kan påklages.

Ved ny og utsatt eksamen kan en annen eksamensform også bli benyttet eller en ny oppgave med en ny frist gis. Hvis muntlig eksamen benyttes kan denne ikke påklages.

The course is mandatory for all doctoral candidates at Oslo Business School. It is recommended that candidates complete this course early in their study.

The course takes a conceptual and history of ideas approach to business administration, innovation and governance as fields of research and teaching. The course aims to introduce the foundations of the theories of social science and economics underpinning current research on business administration, innovation and governance, with emphasis on providing students with insight and overview of the diversity as well as the common ground. The course consists of three main thematic components:

• Important methodological challenges to the study of business, innovation and governance.
• Key theoretical approaches spanning several fields of research.
• Exemplary classical and cutting-edge contributions to each field.

Teaching is organised as a combination of lectures, discussions and presentations by the candidates in which selected classic texts (books and/or articles), literature reviews and meta-analyses are discussed, and topical research presented.
