Many firms worldwide, socalled Born Global firms (BGs) becomes international or even global from inception. SMEs and BGs are often seen as more flexible than larger companies, which can give them an advantage in rapidly changing business environments, but at the same time, they experience liabilities due to lack of resources.  Increased knowledge of globalization and internationalization challenges for larger and smaller firms are essential for managerial decision making about international issues.
