StudentWeb will eventually also contain information such as exam registration, candidate number, and exam results. Remember to register for the semester!
Deadline for payment and semester registration: 01 September (fall semester) and 01 February (spring semester).
Activate your IT-account
As a new student, you will be assigned an IT-account that provides access to email and Canvas, among other services. You must activate the account yourself before gaining access to these services.
You will receive an email and SMS from OsloMet when your IT account is ready for activation. Activate your account with ID-porten (tilgang.sikt.no). Create your own password and activate two-factor authentication.
Canvas
OsloMet uses Canvas as its learning platform (oslomet.instructure.no). Canvas is an online service for learning, teaching, and collaboration. To access your courses in Canvas, you must be registered for the semester. Use your OsloMet username (e.g., abcde1234) and password in the Feide window to log in. If you are already logged in to Feide, you will be redirected directly to Canvas.
New student or recently started studying at OsloMet again? Activate your user account first (tilgang.sikt.no).
Please note that due to technical reasons, it may take up to 24 hours before you can log in to Canvas after activating your user account. Canvas will provide you with greater flexibility in your daily studies by using the Canvas app.
In Canvas, you will find the reading list.
You will find more inforamation about Canvas on student.oslomet.no.
Student Card
The student card is a card with a photo and signature issued by OsloMet. The card can be used as a student card, library card, and access card. Your PIN must be used together with the access card in the afternoon. The student card, along with the semester receipt, is valid student identification.
The access card is issued by the Card Center in Pilestredet 46. The Card Center is open between 08:30 and 15:00. Remember to bring identification when you go to get your student card issued. Old cards from previous studies at OsloMet can be reactivated by sending an email to: kortsenteret@oslomet.no
