Mandatory attendance 19 August

It is mandatory to attend the first day of class, as you will be registering on this day. If you do not attend, your admission to study will be revoked.  

Semester start: 19 August. Information about time and place tba.

Have you accepted your offer? 

You must accept the offer of admission in Søknadsweb within the given deadline. Please get in touch with opptak@oslomet.no as soon as possible if you have accepted your offer, but are unable to participate in the programme. Remember to include your application number in the email.

Access to OsloMet's systems  

You will receive information about activating your IT account in the weeks before your semester start. If you have not received this on the first day of study, please contact your faculty. 

Use the information to activate your IT account. When you log in to student.oslomet.no, you will find shortcuts to the tools you need in your everyday study.  
When you have registered for the semester, you will see your personal timetable in the Outlook calendar and on "my page" at student.oslomet.no. Your courses will also appear in Canvas.

Not able to attend the first day 

If you are not able to attend the first day due to illness or other compelling reasons, you must apply for a postponed study start. Please send an application to (sett inn aktuelt infosenter) Include:   

  • Complete name    

  • Study programme 

  • Date for when you will be able to attend.     

Applying for exemption 

You can apply for exemption from a course or an examination if you have already passed an equivalent course/examination. It is not possible to apply for exemption before you start your studies.

Lectures during your first semester can be found under Schedule further up on this page.  

  • In your studies, you will be divided into classes divided into teaching. The timetables vary based on which class and group you are placed in and you cannot know the exact timetable before the start of your studies.
  • The timetable above shows all teaching in the course and you will be notified at the start of the study which teaching applies to you.
