    2. We recommend using the latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari when working in WISEflow.
    3. Log in to WISEflow (wiseflow.net).
    4. Click on “Demo flows” at the bottom of the main page (“Overview”) and try out all available exam types.

    Relevant demo flows

    • FLOWHandin – Home exams where you can upload written material (PDF files) or other types of work, such as video or audio files.

    Other tips

  • When you submitt your bachelor´s or master´s thesis in WISEflow

You submitt your thesis by using WISEflow. Logg in (wiseflow.net)

OsloMet ensures that important information about your thesis is properly safeguarded. To ensure correct handling of the thesis and its content, you will be asked to register some information when submitting your thesis in WISEflow. This helps protect your rights and ensures that the thesis is stored securely.

    1. Upload your submission and click “Submit”.
      • Please note that your submission is not automatically delivered when the time runs out — you must click “Submit” yourself.
      • You can withdraw and re-submit your exam as long as the deadline has not passed.
    2. If you want a receipt for your submission, click “Send receipt”. You can also check your submission status to see the time of submission.

  • Upload and submit your home exam as a group or individually in WISEflow

    One-person groups

If individual submissions are allowed in addition to group submissions, select “Create one-person group.”

    Groups with multiple members

    • One group member creates the group.
    • Enter a group name (for example: “Group 1”).
    • Invite participants by searching for their names. Only students registered for the exam can be found in the search.
    • Click “Create group” in WISEflow.

    NB

    • It is not possible to add new members after the submission has been delivered.
    • You cannot be a member of more than one group in an exam.
    • If you are invited to a group but do not accept the invitation, the exam will not be submitted on your behalf. You will also not be able to submit an individual answer, and therefore you will not receive a grade.

    Confirming group invitations

    • Group members will receive an invitation that must be accepted.
    • Accept the invitation by clicking “Execute” in the WISEflow dialog box.

    Submitting the group’s answer

    • When all invitations have been accepted, the submission can be delivered.
    • Only one shared submission is delivered on behalf of the entire group.
    • Any member of the group can submit — not just the person who created the group.
    • Remember: you must always click “Submit”!

    Submission receipt

    • In the submission status view, you can see the time of submission.
    • To receive a submission receipt, click “Send receipt.”
    • Each group member must send their own receipt if everyone wants a copy.

  • Publish your thesis in open repositories

OsloMet encourages students and staff to deposit their work in open repositories like NVA (nva.sikt.no). A master´s thesis published in NVA can be retrieved in Google Scholar and other search engines. The thesis will also be found in Oria (bibsys.no).

For more details on publishing your master’s thesis visit the University Library's website (student.oslomet.no).

  • Licencing and data protection

If your master's thesis contains information subject to the duty of secrecy, it must not be made accessible or available in the open repository NVA (nva.sikt.no). In that case you must fill out a form for restricted access to the thesis and upload the document as a zip-file together with your master´s thesis:

During the upload process in Inspera, you will decide whether you want your thesis to be published. If published, it will be the version you upload to Inspera that is made available in ODA. You may withdraw your consent for publication at a later stage.

If your thesis is restricted due to confidentiality obligations, you must select "No" when asked whether you want to publish your thesis. If you select "No," the thesis itself will be exempt from publication, but metadata (title, abstract, and author name) will still be made public. Therefore, it is advisable to avoid sensitive information in the abstract.

Read about data privacy in bachelor´s and master´s theses on the student´s pages (student.oslomet.no).

  • Submission of the Master's Thesis in Inspera

    • The master's thesis is submitted in Inspera.
    • The thesis must be submitted as a single PDF file.
    • The PDF file must include the entire thesis, including cover page, table of contents, reference list, and any appendices.
    • If you have attachments such as Excel sheets, video files, or a confidentiality agreement for classified information: these must be uploaded as a separate zip file in addition to the thesis in PDF format.
    • Even if you have no other attachments, the confidentiality agreement must still be uploaded as a zip file.
