About the study place

Hanzehogeschool is a large university of Applied Sciences and has been educating talented and committed students for over two centuries. The school is located in the city of Groningen and offers a number of educations and has a good overview on their website.

The city of Groningen is located in the northern part of the Netherlands, about two hours from the capital Amsterdam and is a young, international and exciting city. Groningen has a history dating back to the Middle Ages and several of the old buildings are still standing in the city center. This is a town that offers the best of both worlds. It is lively with cafes, museums and festivals, while on the other side you will discover the more rural part of the city with beautiful farms and gardens. There is a lot to do in Groningen and you can cycle or hop on public transport and climb the high tower Martinitoren, discover the Lauwersmeer National Park or enjoy a day around the many canals. There are plenty of hidden gems in this wonderful city and it is impossible to get bored!

The university wants to make the world a better place by making a contribution to the society. The school is concerned that learning should engage and that students should become aware of the society around them, so that they can lead the world forward.
