  • Innledning

    This Erasmus+ course focuses on social sustainability issues in vocational education, emphasizing practical approaches to inclusion, multiculturalism, and diversity in Vocational Education and Training (VET) learning environments. It is an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP), combining online and onsite intensive collaboration in Oslo. Participants will develop concrete strategies for creating more inclusive learning environments, using both didactic and digital tools. Building social sustainability skills within VET is a fundamental future-proofing strategy within education, as truly sustainable educational systems must be equitable, inclusive, and responsive to diverse learners and communities.

    Sustainable and Inclusive TVET

    Teaching and learning methods

    • Blended intensive program (BIP) hosted at OsloMet
    • Digital synchronous teaching session (digital component)
    • Face-to-face lectures and seminars (physical component)
    • Group work (both digital online preparation, physical collaboration and reflection activities)

    • Relevant vocational and cultural site visits, including partnered vocational schools

    Work requirements/mandatory activities

    100% Class attendance, both physical and digital, is mandatory. The programme emphasises student participation, dialogue, and cooperative learning, which depends upon attendance and active participation in class.

    In the event of unavoidable absence, students may complete a compensatory measure under the guidance of teaching staff.

  • Vurdering og eksamen

    Assessment/examination

    Group Project: groups (of maximum 5 students) will present a poster presentation based on the course content and learning outcomes. The presentations will take place on the final day of the physical component.

    Word count for poster presentation: 500+/- 10%

    Timeframe for presentations: 15 minutes +/- 2 minutes

    Grading scale

    Pass/fail

    If the presentation is assessed as a fail, a revised version may be submitted for evaluation one time. For any subsequent attempts, a new presentation must be submitted.

    Two examiners (one from OsloMet and one BIP partner) will be assigned

    Target group:

    The target group consists of students at the partner institutions in the BIP program, at both the bachelor's and master's levels, as well as students in the vocational teacher education (VET) program at OsloMet.

    Students currently enrolled in continuing education courses in the Department of Vocational Teacher Education at Oslo Metropolitan University may also apply.

    Admission requirements

    • OsloMet Students must have completed their first year*
    • Incoming students must be nominated by one of the 2026 BIP partner institutions

    *NB: OsloMet Students registered in continuing education courses must have completed their first semester.
