Introduction
Assessment of Web Development will be by two submissions - an individual term paper (15,000-20,000 characters including spaces) and a group-based project (a practical work related to a set of web development tasks). The group must submit a report (18,000-25,000 characters including spaces) describing their work and documenting the outcomes. The topic of the project must be approved by the tutors. Font: Arial/ Calibri. Size: 12 point. Line spacing: 1.5.
The term paper accounts for 60% of the grade, while the remaining 40% comes from the group-based project. The student must pass both parts to pass the course.
If the project work fail, the whole group need to sit the new examination.
In case the term paper/ report does not pass, the students can revise the paper once.

Course requirements
The examination is assessed by an internal and an external examiner. The external examiner grades a random sample consisting of approx. 25 per cent of the exams. The grades given for this sample provide a basis for internal examiners who will be grading the other exams.

Assessment
The exam is based on two parts, each contributing 50 % of the final grade:
1) Written assignment produced individually or in groups (maximum 3 students per group), The text should include description of the designed product/service and discuss ethical views about design of the chosen technology
2) Group work presentations of self-initiated work based on the curriculum
Both examination 1. and 2. must be passed in the same study year in order to pass the course
Part 1) The exam result can be appealed.
Part 2) The exam result cannot be appealed.
