BIOB3900 Bioingeniørfaglig forsknings- og utviklingsarbeid - bacheloroppgaven Emneplan

Emnet er en introduksjon til bioingeniørfaglig forsknings- og utviklingsarbeid (FoU). Studentene skal utvikle en forståelse for viktigheten av å fornye og utvikle bioingeniørfaglig praksis og kjenne til etiske aspekter ved slike prosjekter. Bacheloroppgaven gir studentene anledning til å fordype seg i et tema som er relevant for bioingeniørfaget.

Studentene får tilbud om oppgaver knyttet til ulike typer FoU-arbeid. Oppgavene gjennomføres i eksterne laboratorier ved norske institusjoner, i interne laboratorier ved universitetet eller ved utenlandske institusjoner etter avtale.

• Bestått første og andre studieår eller tilsvarende i bachelorstudium i bioingeniørfag, eller
• Opptak til kompletterende utdanning for bioingeniører;

The assessment is based on the learning outcomes for the course, the student's specification of the learning outcomes and the formative assessment made of the student during the practical training period.

An attendance requirement applies to practical training. In order to pass a practical training course, the student must have attended at least 90% of the planned activities in each course. Students must make up for absence exceeding 10% by agreement with the lecturer and the practical training establishment. If a student's absence exceeds 20%, he/she will fail the course. Students who fail a period of practical training must retake the whole training period.

For å fremstille seg til eksamen må følgende være godkjent:;

• muntlig presentasjon av bachelorprosjekt i gruppe, inntil 25 minutter pr. gruppe

The summative assessment is carried out by a representative of the practical training establishment and a representative of the university. The final decision on whether to award a pass or fail grade is made by the university.

• Observations and clinical assessments in connection with serious self-care deficits in relation to a patient's fundamental needs.
• Preventing complications in connection with advanced acute and/or critical illness, advanced medical treatment and theatre nursing.
• Observations and clinical assessments relating to patients' psychosocial needs.
• Reducing stress and alleviating pain and discomfort in connection with advanced medical treatment and theatre nursing.
• Communication and interaction with surgical patients and their next of kin.
• Observations, clinical assessments and measures in infection prevention work.
• Preventing and treating unintentional hypothermia.
• Preventing complications in connection with positioning of patients.
• Professionally sound use of medical equipment.
• Written and oral documentation of theatre nursing.
• Teaching and guidance.
• Administration and management.
