ACIT4045 Projects in Human Computer Interaction Emneplan

In this course, the students will complete a human computer interaction project as a group of two to four students. The projects can be self-proposed by the students, or offered by faculty members within OsloMet, a private company, public organization and non-profit organization.

The term assignments are assessed by an internal and an external examiner. An extract of at least 25% of the answers is assessed by two examiners. The results of this extract form the basis for setting the level of the rest of the exams.

Emnet omhandler kjennskap til læreryrket og yrkene i utdanningsprogrammet. Det gir innsikt i lovverk og styringsdokumenter, skolens og yrkesopplæringens plass og rolle i kultur og samfunn. Det omhandler også læringsstrategier, yrkesidentitet, yrkesstolthet og yrkesetikk. Faglig innhold vil være forankret i relevant teori om yrkeskunnskap, baseres på observasjon og kartlegging av særtrekk og fellestrekk yrkene imellom, samt analyse av yrkeskompetanse, produksjons- og prosessdokumentasjon av yrkene i utdanningsprogrammet.

The course lasts one semester, and consists mainly of lectures, group work, excursions, and self-tuition of syllabus. The group work is linked with themes from lectures and syllabus.

Exam in two parts:

• Group project report (two to four members in a group, 4000-5000 words) plus a copy of the individual reflection report. The individual reflection will provide the examiners of the final report with insights into how each student contributed and viewed others’ contributions to the group work. This part counts 85% of the final grade.
• Group presentation for the project (20 minutes for each group presentation followed by a minimum of 10-minute question and answer). This part counts 15% of the final grade.

Both parts must be passed in order to pass the course. An overall grade is given. Students are graded individually.

The group presentation examination cannot be appealed.

New/postponed exam: In case of failed exam or legal absence, the student may apply for a new or postponed exam. New or postponed exams are offered within a reasonable time span following the regular exam. The student is responsible for registering for a new/postponed exam within the time limits set by OsloMet. The Regulations for new or postponed examinations are available in Regulations relating to studies and examinations at OsloMet.

Individual, written term assignment: During the semester, every student must complete an individual term assignment of about 3,500-4,000 words (10-12 pages). The assignment must be written in English.

Students who have failed to pass the ordinary examination and students with legitimate absence are entitled to one new examination during the semester.

Det benyttes to interne sensorer. Tilsynssensor vurderer eksamensordning og studiekvalitet, og skriver en tilsynsrapport. Tilsyn for emnet skjer hvert tredje år.
