Innledning
Skriftlig eksamen under tilsyn, fem timer.
Anbefalte forkunnskaper
Student's scientific background should comply with the the admission requirements of the robotics and control specialization. It is highly recommended that the student has previous knowledge in mathematics, programming, robotics and control. It is recommended that the student has taken the courses ACIT4810 Advanced Methods in Modelling, Simulation, and Control, ACIT4820 Applied Robotics, and Autonomous Systems and ACIT4830 Special Robotics and Control Subject.
Forkunnskapskrav
No formal requirements over and above the admission requirements.
Læringsutbytte
Knowledge
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:
- have advanced knowledge of novel theories and methods for a specific robotics and control application
- knowledge in practical aspects for the development work.
Skills
Upon successful completion of the course, the student:
- can assess suitability of different theories and methods for the specific robotics and control application
- can apply novel theories and methods for the specific robotics and control system
- can design and implement the chosen algorithms, software and hardware for the specific robotics and control application.
General competence
Upon successful completion of the course, the student:
- can analyze, present and debate the possible novel solutions for a robotics and control project in light of the theoretical and practical approaches
Innhold
Topics covered in this course
- Application of novel theories and methods into a specific system in robotics and control.
- Project work related to current research projects at the Mechanical, Electronic and Chemical Engineering department and related laboratories at OsloMet.
The following required coursework must be approved before the student can take the exam:
- Four assignments in groups (1000 - 2000 words per assignment).
Vurdering og eksamen
Exam in two parts:
1) Group project report (3000-5000 words per student). The project report counts as 80% of the final grade.
2) Individual project presentation of student's contribution to the project (10 minutes). The oral examination counts as 20% of the final grade
Both exams must be passed in order to pass the course.
The oral examination cannot be appealed.
New/postponed exam
In case of failed exam or legal absence, the student may apply for a new or postponed exam. New or postponed exams are offered within a reasonable time span following the regular exam. The student is responsible for registering for a new/postponed exam within the time limits set by OsloMet. The Regulations for new or postponed examinations are available in Regulations relating to studies and examinations at OsloMet.
Hjelpemidler ved eksamen
All aids are permitted, provided the rules for plagiarism and source referencing are complied with.
Vurderingsuttrykk
Grade scale A-F.
Sensorordning
Two internal examiners. External examiner is used periodically.
Emneansvarlig
The course main teacher will be one of the teachers in the Robotics and Control specialization. Questions can be sent to specialization coordinator, Professor Tiina Komulainen.
