ØAADM3400 Leadership Course description

Participation is mandatory and expected all teaching days. Only in special cases, absence from teaching may be accepted upon application. In case of non-approved absence, the participant will lose the right to have the essay approved.

Det forutsettes forkunnskaper i organisasjonsteori og organisasjonspsykologi.

The candidates shall write an essay of approximately 15 pages. The essay shall be presented and discussed in one of the meetings. The essay shall be handed in within at least 2 months after the subject is concluded.

In case an essay is not approved, the candidate may submit an adapted essay once within a specified time.

The essay shall be approved by the course coordinator.

The candidates for this subject are doctoral students in the PhD programme at Library and Information Science at OsloMet, as well as others who wish to be qualified for research in the field, teaching positions at universities and colleges or other types of position which require a high level of academic competence.

This subject can be offered to candidates in addition to the university's own candidates, given enough places. The subject is primarily offered to those students admitted to the PhD programme at OsloMet but will be open to other students who have completed either 'hovedfag' or a master's degree (120 credits) within the same academic area.

Applicants other than the university's own candidates must submit a summary of about one page with information about their own PhD project or other project / field of interest, with a description of the topic, method, theoretical approach, and why this topic is considered relevant to own project.

Individuell skriftlig eksamen under tilsyn på 4 timer avholdes i slutten av semesteret.

Gradert skala A-F.

Ekstern sensor vil, i tillegg til å godkjenne eksamensoppgaven, sensurere besvarelsene sammen med intern sensor.
