Important dates for engineering and Computer science studies in autumn 2025 and spring 2026
Important dates and weeks in the engineering and computer science programmes at the Faculty of Technology, Art and Design (TKD) in the autumn of 2025 and spring of 2026 – semester plan.
Autumn 2025
- Week 31-32: New and deferred examination for spring exams
- 12th August: Semester start with opening ceremony at 13:30
- 13th August: First-year students have semester start activities on their programmes until 14:15. The buddies takes over from 14:15
- 14th August: Regular teaching start for first-year students on bachelor's programmes. No scheduled teaching after 14:15
- 15th August: Regular teaching for first-year students 08:30–14:15. The buddies takes over from 14:15
- 19th August: Regular teaching starts for second and third-year students on the bachelor's programmes
- The master's programmes have their own dates for semester and teaching start
- 1st September: Deadline for application for exchange in the spring semester
- 5th September: Business Day – no teaching
- 26th September: Elected students representatives conference. Elected representatives have no teaching.
- 14th November: Last day of teaching
- Week 47–51: Regular examination period. No teaching. We try to avoid scheduling many examinations in week 47.

Spring 2026
- 5th January: Regular teaching start
- 1st February: Deadline for application for exchange in the autumn semester
- Week 8: Study week
- Week 8 – 9: New and postponed examination for autumn courses
- 24th April: Last day of teaching for third-year students
- Week 18 and 19: Examination period for third-year students
- 13th May: Last day of regular teaching
- 19th May: Submission deadline for bachelor's and master's theses
- Week 21-24: Regular examination period. No teaching.
