New to OsloMet? This is how you get ready for the start of your studies
Welcome to you who are a new student! Here are tips on how to get ready for your new life as a student.
Checklist
When you are a new student, there is a lot of new information that you have to familiarize yourself with, and the start of the semester can feel overwhelming. That is why we have created a checklist for you. By following it, you know that you have all the practical things in place and are well prepared to start your studies.
Events at the start of studies
OsloMet has several events you can take part in at the start of your studies. Maybe you meet your new study friend or find a new leisure activity? Join us – the events are open to all students at OsloMet.
- Opening ceremony: 13th of August at 3.30 pm at St. Hanshaugen park
- Free concert: 13th of August at 8 pm at Chateau Neuf
- Association day: 15th of August (sio.no) – meet student associations at the stands
- Studentslippet for 31st of August to 6th of September (studentslippet.no) – activities, experiences and entry to cultural attractions in the entire Oslo area - completely free!
- Follow student.oslomet.no for any other events and activities at the start of your studies.
- In the event calendar of the welfare organisation SiO (sio.no) you will find an overview of events for students in Oslo.
