Resource page for the Master's thesis

This is a resource page for the Master's thesis. Here you will find important deadlines, necessary documents, guides, and other resources. This English page is for students at the Master's Programme in International Social Welfare and Health Policy.

Master's thesis submission dates in 2024

  • May 15, 12:00 (noon) in Inspera. Oral exams will take place in week 24/25.
  • November 15, 12:00 (noon) in Inspera

There is no official template for the Master's thesis front page. We have a suggestion for the Master's thesis front page you can use.

Important dates

  • The Master's Thesis Fair is arranged early in the second semester. Here you will have to opportunity to join various projects for your master's thesis.
  • Kick-off Seminar, is held during the second semester. This seminar will help you get started with your thesis. In relation to this seminar you will submit your first work requirement for your master's thesis - a 2 page project description. You will get a supervisor based on this project description.
  • Supervisor agreement - Deadline is October 01. The supervisor agreement must be signed by you and your supervisor. It states rights and duties both for you and your supervisor in your work on the thesis. The agreement should be submitted in Canvas within October 01.

  • Deadline for submission is May 15, 12:00 (noon). You will receive detailed information on how to submit some time before the submission is due. See the course plan for the master's thesis for more details.
  • Postponing your thesis: If you need to postpone your thesis, you should contact the study administration. This should be done early in the semester, at least 30 days before the submission date.
