Christmas opening hours
Employees and students have access to the buildings with card and code throughout the Christmas holiday.
Up to and including 23 December, normal opening hours apply for buildings and all common areas at Kjeller and Pilestredet.
From Christmas Eve, 24 December, until 1 January 2026:
Buildings are accessible to employees and students with card and code between 08:00 and 22:00, both at Kjeller and Pilestredet.
Staffed hours for libraries during Christmas
15–19 December: All libraries staffed from 10:00–14:00
22–23 December: Only the library at Pilestredet 48 (P48) staffed from 10:00–14:00
Libraries are unstaffed for the rest of the Christmas period, but you can enter with card and code every day from 08:00–22:00 at Pilestredet and Kjeller.
Regular staffed hours resume from 5 January.
IT support during the Christmas holiday
IT Service Desk at P46: open on all regular working days
- Christmas Eve, 24 December: 08:00–12:00
- 29 and 30 December: 08:00–13:45
- New Year’s Eve, 31 December: 08:00–10:00
IT Service Desk at P48: closed from 15 December to 4 January
IT Service Desk at Kjeller: closed during the Christmas holiday, reopens 2 January

Service Desk Kjeller
Closes at 12:00 on Christmas Eve and reopens 2 January 2026 at 08:00.
