Introduction
The course consists of lectures, e-lectures, seminars and group supervision. The main emphasis is on student active teaching in the form of workshops.

Knowledge
The student
- can explain special pathology relevant to prosthetics and orthotics focusing on occurrence, aetiology, pathological processes, symptoms and clinical signs
- can explain injury mechanisms, and inflammatory and healing processes
- can describe the principles underlying other healthcare professions’ treatment of relevant medical conditions
- can describe war injuries and consequential conditions

Permitted exam materials and equipment
The exam papers are assessed by one internal and one external examiner.
A random selection consisting of at least 25 % of the exam papers will be graded by both an internal and external examiner. This will inform the grading of the remaining exam papers.

Examiners
An external examiner contributes to preparing the exam questions. Free text assignment: At least 20 % of the exam papers will be assessed by one external and one internal examiner. The external examiner's assessment should benefit all the students. The remaining papers will be assessed by internal examiners. Each answer paper is quality assured by an internal examiner and automatically assessed
