Introduction
To start this course you must have passed:
- Passed the first year of study.
- SYKP/SYKP2100 Person Centered Care, 15 credits.
- SYKK/SYKPPRA21 Nursing Patients with Acute, Critical and Chronic Diseases 1, 15 credits.
- SYKK/SYKPPRA30 Nursing Patients with Acute, Critical and Chronic Diseases 2, 10 credits.
or equivalent.*

Required preliminary courses
Utdanningen er samlingsbasert. Undervisningen omfatter en kombinasjon av forelesninger, seminarundervisning og ulike studentaktive læringsformer med både individuelt arbeid, gruppearbeid og fremlegg/presentasjoner.

Learning outcomes
Det framgår av emneplanene om det er satt opp arbeidskrav eller obligatoriske aktiviteter innenfor et emne. Arbeidskrav og obligatoriske aktiviteter må være godkjent før studenten kan framstille seg til eksamen. Dersom arbeidskrav eller obligatoriske aktiviteter ikke er levert eller ikke er godkjent, mister studenten retten til å framstille seg til eksamen i det enkelte emne.
Teaching and learning methods
Det avholdes eksamen i hvert emne, og det benyttes ulike vurderingsformer. Det framgår av emneplanene hvilken vurderingsform, vurderingsuttrykk, sensorordning og tilgjengelige hjelpemidler som benyttes for det enkelte emne.

Skikkethetsvurdering
Videreutdanningen er omfattet av Forskrift om skikkethetsvurdering i høyere utdanning.
Skikkethetsvurdering er en helhetsvurdering av studentens faglige og personlige forutsetninger for å kunne fungere som helse- eller sosialpersonell.
Assessment
The student must have been admitted to the study programme.
Permitted exam materials and equipment
Part 1 Contact lecturer approves grade after recommendation from practical training supervisor. The final decision on whether to award a pass or fail grade is made by the university.
Part 2 All answers are assessed by two examiners.
An external examiner is used regularly, at a minimum of every third completion of the course. When selecting answers for external evaluation, a minimum of 10 percent of the answers shall be included, with no fewer than 5 answers. The external examiner’s assessment of the selected answers shall benefit all students.
Grading scale
The work and teaching methods used vary between seminars, skills training, a clinical and technical module, lectures, digital learning resources, student cooperation and self-study.
Examiners
The following coursework requirements must be met before the student can take the exam:
- minimum attendance of 80% at seminars and skills training
- two individual process descriptions (clinical/technical) of 1,500 words (+/- 5%) based on the learning outcomes listed under ‘Skills’.
Coursework requirements for INTER1100‘The Same Child - Different Arenas’
Students must submit an individual log. Scope: 500 words (+/- 10%). In order to write the log, the student must first participate in a two-day seminar.
Overlapping courses
Individual home;examination;(multiple choice), 45 minutes.
The exam is in English, with the exception of health management which is in Norwegian for Norwegian students. ;
