Introduction
The internet and the web is fundamental to those who will have data processing and IT as a profession. The industry expects all developers to have a basic understanding of web interfaces. In this course, you will learn to code in HTML and CSS to create websites. You will be introduced to contemporary expectations for universal accessibility, and best practice for environments for software development and version control.

Learning outcomes
The course will use varied, student-active work methods. Work and teaching methods include lectures, group work and self-study.
Teaching and learning methods
The following must have been approved in order for the student to take the examination:
- Minimum 80% attendance at scheduled lessons.
Course requirements
Individual home examination over two weeks. Scope: 2,500 words (+/- 10%)
Assessment
Home exam
A website according to requirements given by the course coordinator; workload assumes groups of 3-5 students. The assignment text is published minimum 2 weeks in advance.
The site, with HTML, CSS and any supporting files, is given an overall assessment with one grade. Assessment includes an evaluation of the group’s compliance with the task requirements, technical competence, ability to follow national and international standards for web accessibility, content organization and usability, and ability to communicate clearly.
Exam results can be appealed.
In the case of a new and postponed exam, another form of exam can also be used or a new assignment with a new deadline is given. If an oral examination is used, this cannot be appealed.

Grade scale A-F.
Examiners
All answers are assessed by one examiner.
An external examiner is used regularly, at a minimum of every third completion of the course. When selecting answers for external evaluation, a minimum of 10 percent of the answers shall be included, with no fewer than 5 answers. The external examiner’s assessment of the selected answers shall benefit all students.
