Course history

Introduction

The Building Process course prepares students for a profession, and they are expected to have already acquired a number of building qualifications during the course of their studies. The Building Process course trains students to work as part of a systematic whole and it enables them to make better use of a life-cycle approach, where technical and functional performance as well as financial, social and environmental issues are taken into consideration.

Presence on the course days is important for the result of the exam.

Kunnskaper

Studenten har kunnskap om

  • strategibegrepet, hvordan strategier kan bidra til verdiskaping, lønnsomhet og overlevelse
  • strategisk analyse av ressurser og omgivelser, konkurransestrategi og konsernstrategi
  • strategiske prosesser, hvilke teorier og antakelser strategiske verktøy bygger på
  • dynamiske omgivelser, innovasjon og læring, og iverksetting.
  • Studenten har kunnskaper om etiske dilemmaer og samfunnsansvar ved strategiske valg.

Ferdigheter

Studenten kan

  • bruke sentrale strategiske verktøy, og gjennom dette arbeidet kunne gjøre reflekterte analyser og valg
  • gjennomføre en strategisk analyse for en forretningsenhet med hensyn til omgivelses- og markedsfaktorer så vel som interne ressurser
  • anvende og integrere relevante modeller og analyser fra øvrige økonomisk-administrative emner som inngår i utdanningen

Course requirements

Students must attende at least five of the course days.

Assessment

Individual written exam, 3 hours

The result of the exam can be appealed.

A resit or rescheduled exam may take the form of an oral exam. If oral exams are used for resits and rescheduled exams, the exam results cannot be appealed.

Permitted exam materials and equipment

Aids enclosed with the exam question paper and a handheld calculator that cannot be used for wireless communication.
