Key dates for Engineering and Computer Science in autumn 2026 and spring 2027

Key dates and weeks for the Engineering and Computer Science programmes at the Faculty of Technology, Art and Design (TKD) in autumn 2026 and spring 2027 – semester plan.

Autumn 2026

  • 11 August: Start of term and welcome ceremony. Master’s programmes and some bachelor’s programmes may have their own start dates for studies and teaching.
  • 12 August: First-year students have programme-level induction activities until 14:15. The buddy scheme takes over from 14:15; no teaching after that. Second- and third-year students have teaching in line with the information in TP.
  • 13 and 14 August: Regular teaching for all bachelor’s students until 14:15. The buddy scheme takes over thereafter.
  • 1 September: Deadline to apply for exchange in the spring semester.
  • X September: Industry Day; no teaching (date to be confirmed shortly).
  • 25 September: Student Representative Conference. Student representatives have a teaching-free day.
  • 13 November: Last day of teaching.
  • Weeks 47–51: Main examination period. No teaching. We will seek to avoid scheduling many exams in week 47.

Spring 2027

  • 4 January: Start of teaching.
  • 1 February: Deadline to apply for exchange in the autumn semester.
  • Week 8: Study week. No teaching.
  • Weeks 8–9: Resit and deferred examinations.
  • 23 April: Last day of teaching for third-year modules.
  • Weeks 18–19: Examination period for third-year modules.
  • 14 May: Last day of regular teaching.
  • 19 May: Submission deadline for bachelor’s and master’s dissertations.
  • •    Weeks 21–24: Main examination period.
  • •    Weeks 30–31: Resit and deferred examinations.
