Accept your offer
You must accept the offer of admission in Søknadsweb within the given deadline. Please get in touch with opptak@oslomet.no as soon as possible if you have accepted your offer, but are unable to participate in the programme. Remember to include your application number in the email.
Mandatory attendance
It is mandatory to attend the first day of class, as you will be registering on this day. If you do not attend, your admission to study will be revoked.

Semester registration and course selection
When you have been accepted to the Neuro-insights: Data Science Approaches in Neuroscience course, you will be given the option, between the STKD6800 Neuro-insights: Data Science Approaches in Neuroscience, 5ECTS and STKD6810 Neuro-insights: Data Science Approaches in Neuroscience, 10 ECTS.
The two courses will be taught at the same time for 4 weeks.
Those of you registering for the 5ECTS course will have completed the course after the oral examination in September.
Those of you who register for the 10 ECTS course, will attend the same classes, but after the oral examination in September you will continue to work on an individual project, with the support from the teaching staff, for an additional 4 week.
Before each semester all students need to register, this is also where you will choose to attend the STKD6800 Neuro-insights: Data Science Approaches in Neuroscience, 5ECTS course or STKD6810 Neuro-insights: Data Science Approaches in Neuroscience, 10 ECTS course. Log on to Studentweb with your username and password.
Follow the 'Start Registration' link in Studentweb and complete all the steps. For most students a confirmation of your individual education plan is part of the registration. After 24 hours, you should be able to see your personal schedule and updated information about your courses at student.oslomet.no.
Students who have already completed a relevant bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree can apply for these courses. If you have completed a bachelor’s degree you will attend Neuro-insights: Data Science Approaches in Neuroscience course at master’s level. If you have completed a master’s degree, you will attend the Neuro-insights: Data Science Approaches in Neuroscience course at PhD level.
Checklist for new students

Access to OsloMet's systems
You will receive a username, activation password and pin code by e-mail and SMS the week before the start of your studies. If you have not received this before the first day of study, you must contact your faculty.
After you have received this, you must activate your user account, and 24 hours after this you can log in to student.oslomet.no to find your personal schedule and shortcuts to all the tools you need in your everyday study.
Sick the first day and exemption
If you are not able to attend the first day due to illness or other compelling reasons, you must apply for an postponed study start. Please send an application to infosenter-tkd@oslomet.no. Include:
- Complete name
- Study programme
- Date and time of when you will be able to attend.
- You can apply for exemption from a course or an examination if you have already passed an equivalent course/examination.
It is not possible to apply for exemption before the start of studies.
