The University of Hertfordshire is a public university that is based mostly in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. This is a university that offers over 800 different degree programmes from 9 different schools.  

Hatfield is a small town of about 30,000 inhabitants in the home county of Hertfordshire in the south of England. The country’s capital and largest city London is about an hour’s drive away and is also accessible by train. Watford, with over 90,000 inhabitants is the largest city in the county, is a half an hour’s drive away. Here you can visit the Leavesden Film Studios where Harry Potter and other movies were filmed. Hertfordshire is known for its beautiful green landscapes and historical sites including Hatfield House, a magnificent palace dating back to the 1600s and for a short time, the home to Queen Elisabeth I. The area offers many great opportunities for hiking for those interested in the outdoors.  

This is a school with a clear international profile. Of the 25,000 students attending, 5,000 are international students from over 100 different countries. The university wants to drive their students forward and set them on a path to achieving their goals.
