About the study place

Thomas More is a university located in the Flemish part of Belgium and it is also the largest university in applied science in the Flemish part. They have seven campuses located around the province of Antwerp and they offer many exciting study programmes.

One of the campuses is centrally located in the city of Antwerp. The city is the capital of Antwerp province in the Flemish region. This is a city with a long history, and it is known as the world leading diamond city. Another interesting fact about this city is that the Port of Antwerp is one of the biggest ports in the world. This is truly a city that is going to surprise you. You will find a nice beach here called St Anneke, unique museums, an exciting culture and new food experiences. The city offers the best of both worlds, a big city on one side and rural surroundings on the other side. It is easy to get around in the city and you can cycle or walk almost everywhere.

Another of the campuses is located in the city of Mechelen. This is a historic town located by the river Dyle in the Flemish part of Belgium. The city is located between the city of Antwerp and the capital, Brussels. Mechelen has an exciting history, which is reflected in the beautiful buildings. If you want to get a good overview of the town, you should visit St. Runbold`s tower. The tower is 97 meters high and at the top you will have a wonderful view across the city. If you want to visit a place where it is spring all year around, you should take a day at the winter garden of the Ursuline nuns. Mechelen has its own food marked where you can have a culinary experience. You will definitely find something you like in this city.

Thomas More is a university that is concerned with student’s success and therefore they make continuous changes and improvements. They are innovative and they will constantly strive to be able to offer more to their students.
