About the study place

The school Arteveldehogeschool is located in the famous student city of Ghent in Belgium. The university was established in the year 2000 and consists of 12 campuses located around the city. At this school they educate professionals who dare to push their boundaries through creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation.

Ghent is a city with a lot of history and in the Middle Ages the city was one of the richest and most powerful cities in Europe. The history has shaped the city, and the past as a rich town is reflected in the unique architecture of several buildings. The city center has been restored in the same style and today the center is free of cars. The town has many small shops, restaurants and cafes. When you first choose to study here, you should definitely take a day out to visit the amazing churches and cathedrals. Ghent has a unique location in the heart of Europe. It is therefore easy to visit other famous capitals such as Paris, London and Amsterdam.

The university offers many study programmes in the fields of teacher training, business, communication and media, health sciences and social work. They focus on science and development because they want to contribute to innovation and modernization. The university educates students to become professionals, who will be able to offer a unique expertise now, and in the future.
