Required preliminary courses

At least two subjects (20 ECTS) from the first semester must have been passed before the student can start work with MT1.

Content

Diagnostics and assessment, methods to promote verbal, social emotional and academic competence in children with pervasive developmental disorders, staff training and supervision, and parent training and supervision

Teaching and learning methods

Each student is appointed a supervisor when starting MT1. The work is carried out under the guidance of the appointed supervisor. Full-time students are expected to complete MT1 in the 2nd semester. Part-time students are expected to complete MT1 in the 3rd semester.

Course requirements

  • An individual written report (7000 - 10 000 words) including a thorough literature study, a clearly defined problem statement, research questions, and a detailed project plan.
  • Individual oral presentation of the project.

Both exams must be passed in order to pass the course.

The oral presentation cannot be appealed.

Permitted exam materials and equipment

Pass or fail.

Grading scale

Two internal examiners will assess the individual report and the oral presentation.
