The libraries at OsloMet

The week is organized at the libraries to inspire and motivate you to make sustainable choices in your everyday life. Together with students, we have put together a program that we hope you will participate in!

Everyday this week at the libraries

  • Book swapping: Do you have novels at home that you do not need anymore? Do you want a new reading experience? From 7 April, you can drop off books at the library in P48, and during Sustainability Week you can pick up a new old book to take home.
  • Puzzles: Stop by one of the libraries for a puzzle break. Free coffee will also be served in the morning.
  • Book exhibitions: Each library will showcase books that in different ways address how you can make sustainable choices in your everyday life.
  • Tote bag swapping: Do you have a tote bag that you never use? Donate it to the library so that someone else can use it. If you need a tote bag, you can pick one up at the library this week.

Wednesday 22 April

  • Curious about what you can do at Makerspace? During lunch you can hear about the offer for students and employees where you can 3D print, laser cut, program and more! The lunch talk is in Norwegian.

Thursday 23 April

  • Students stand in Library P48: discover an author you have most likely never heard of! Maybe it will be your new favorite author?

Friday 24 April

  • Treasure hunt in the libraries from 10: Take a walk around and look for sustainability goals (sdgs.un.org). If you find one, bring it to the counter for a prize!
  • Board game day: There will be board games in the libraries. Bring a friend, or make a new friend, at the board game table. We have chess, ludo, cards, scrabble and exploding kittens among other things! Different games in each library.
