Mobility Grants
You can apply for an Erasmus+ mobility grant if you participate in:
- Student mobility for studies - a study period abroad lasting a minimum of 60 days at an institution in Europe that has an Erasmus+ agreement with OsloMet or
- Student mobility for traineeship - a traineeship (practical training) lasting a minimum of 60 days at an institution in Europe that has an Erasmus+ agreement with OsloMet.
How much mobility grant you will receive depends on the type of student mobility (mobility for studies or mobility for traineeship), how long you are away for and where you are going.
- Student mobility for studies (must last at least 90 days): EUR 410 or 460 per month.
- Student mobility for traineeship (must last at least 60 days): EUR 560 or 610 per month.
You can only receive an Erasmus+ mobility grant for mobility periods lasting a total of 12 months at each cycle of study (bachelor’s, master's and PhD).
In addition to receiving a mobility grant, you will not have to pay tuition fees at the host institution.

Additional grants
Students from underrepresented groups
The European Commission, which owns the Erasmus+ programme, aims to make it possible for everyone to go on exchange.
If you find it difficult to go on exchange because you belong to at least one of the categories listed below, you may apply for an additional grant:-
Students with children under 18 years old. The grant amount is the same regardless of the number of children and whether you go on exchange with the child or not.
-
Students with refugee status.
-
Students with permanent disabilities and chronic illnesses.
This refers to a condition that significantly limits the ability to participate on equal terms with other students. This may include physical, cognitive, or psychological barriers that require special support for the student to be able to function in their course of study. It does NOT refer to temporary or minor challenges. -
Students belonging to indigenous and national minorities.
The additional grant is 250 euros per month and is awarded in addition to the other Erasmus+ grant, provided you qualify for an Erasmus+ exchange.
You must apply for the grant before going on exchange—preferably before submitting your fully signed Learning Agreement, or as soon as possible after submitting it to your international coordinator.
You will find the application form online: Students from underrepresented groups – application for additional grants (nettskjema.no)
Even if you fall into several of the categories, you can only receive one additional grant.
If you also have special needs on exchange, you can also apply for reimbursement of costs related to this through the Erasmus+ programme.
