Introduction
Emnet behandler temaer som systematiske søk, journalistisk research og utarbeidelse av kunnskapsoversikter. Det gis inngående innføringer i bruk av bibliografiske databaser og andre informasjonskilder som for eksempel sosiale medier.
Bibliotekarens rolle knyttet til informasjonshåndtering i et prosjekt, en institusjon eller et fagfelt er også sentralt i emnet.

After completing the course, the student is expected to have achieved the following learning outcomes defined in terms of knowledge, skills and competence:
Knowledge
The student
- can discuss the nurse’s role in health promoting work and (re)habilitation enterprises for different age groups
- can explain the terms everyday rehabilitation and (re)habilitation at home
- can explain the nursing of children with lasting health challenges and their families
- can discuss health counselling at the individual, group and social level
- can describe measures to preserve life and health in the event of major accidents and in crisis and disaster situations (kun for kull 2020 studieåret 2022-2023)

Skills
The student is capable of
- adapting and integrating theoretical and practical knowledge of the nurse's rehabilitating and health promoting function in order to promote the best possible functional level, well-being and quality of life for the individual, in cooperation with other health professions
- identifying persons with a high risk of functional impairment early enough to implement measures to prevent a deterioration in function, and to reverse such deterioration once it has begun
- planning and carrying out nursing measures to ensure the safe transfer of patients between different units and levels of the health services
- planning and carrying out nursing for patients in the last phase of life and following up next-of-kin and those left behind
- masters general first aid according to the ABC principle (kun for kull 2020 studieåret 2022-2023)

Competence
The student is capable of
- critically reflecting on how information, communication and welfare technology can strengthen the municipality’s services
- exchanging points of view and experience with others in the field and in this way contribute to developing good practice
- exploring what a lack of activity and unmet psychosocial needs can lead to over time, and discussing how new measures can strengthen the traditional services provided
- discussing his/her own professional role in an interprofessional context and initiating and contributing to interprofessional and intersectoral cooperation
- communicating important theories, issues and solutions in the field, both orally and in writing
- reflecting on ethical perspectives when nursing is carried out in private homes
- engaging in new thinking and innovation processes through project work
- reflecting on existing procedures and methods, and taking the initiative to quality improvement and implementation of new work methods
- discussing cultural sensitivity and reflecting on the significance of cultural understanding in nursing practice in the patients' homes
- reflecting and critically assessing ethical and legal challenges in the use of technology and digital solutions ;
- understanding how the patients’ linguistic and cultural background might affect how quality and patient safety is addressed

Teaching and learning methods
Practical training: over eight weeks in the municipal health service, home-based services. Includes self-study, lectures, simulation, flipped classroom, digital learning resources and seminars.
Digital learning resources are used for parts of INTER1300 ‘Interprofessional cooperation about and with children, adolescents and their families’, including digital resource lectures with lecturers from different study programmes, relevant cases and examples. 2 Days.
Course requirements
Practical training has requirements for attendance, self-presentation for the start of the practice and self-assessment for the mid- and final assessment, first aid (only year 2020), simulation palliation - in home-based services 2 days, innovation and service development - participation in workshops related to innovation and innovation processes 2 days, group assignment (3–5 students) – based on learning outcomes in the course, the group prepares a project description after the mid-term evaluation issue related to nursing in private homes or in care homes. Scope 1000 words (+/- 10 %). Based on the project description, the group creates a poster that is presented at a seminar before the final assessment.

Assessment
Vurderingsordningen er en individuell mappeeksamen. Mappen skal bestå av tre dokumenter:
- Prosjektoppgaven i revidert utgave
- Kandidatens vurdering av en medstudents prosjektoppgave
- Et individuelt refleksjonsnotat med omfang på 5000 tegn med mellomrom +/-10% (Skrifttype og skriftstørrelse: Arial / Calibri 12pkt. Linjeavstand: 1,5.).
En student kan ved ikke bestått levere omarbeidet versjon av mappen til sensur én gang.
Permitted exam materials and equipment
Alle hjelpemidler er tillatt så lenge regler for kildehenvisning følges.
Grading scale
Gradert skala A-F.
Examiners
Contact lecturer approves grade after recommendation from practical training supervisor. The final decision on whether to award a pass or fail grade is made by the university.

I dette emnet skal du tilegne deg kunnskap om de mest vanlige sykdommer innen medisin og kirurgi hos barn og voksne. Kunnskap om patologi og behandling er forutsetning for sykepleierens vurderings- handlings- og beslutningsprosess. Emnet er en forberedelse til emne SYKK/SYKPPRA20 Sykepleie til mennesker med akutt, kritisk og kronisk sykdom i 2. studieår.
