Programme description

  • Introduction

    All aids are permitted, as long as the rules for source referencing are complied with.

  • Required preliminary courses

    Pass/fail. One overall grade is awarded for the whole group.

  • Learning outcomes

    One external and one internal examiner will assess at least 10% of the exam papers. The remaining papers will be assessed by two internal examiners. The external examiner’s assessment should benefit all the students.

  • Teaching and learning methods

    It is recommended that students have passed the following courses:

    • SYKK/SYKP2000 Theory of Science and Research Methods
    • SYKK/SYKP1060 Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) in Health Care

  • Course requirements

    None.

  • Assessment

    Oral exam in groups

    • Until 10 students in groups, 30 minutes

    Exams take place throughout the course and conclude with an oral presentation.

    The group can choose whether the oral exam is given in Norwegian and / or English.

  • Permitted exam materials and equipment

    Group home exam

    • In groups of up to seven students.
    • The exam period extends throughout the course.
    • Scope of 1,500 words (+/- 10%).

    Resit exam: A student who fails the ordinary exam can submit a reworked version once as a resit.

  • Grading scale
