    Passed second year of the programme or equivalent. The course builds on and expands on knowledge from SYBA1200.

  • Learning outcomes

    After completing the course, the student is expected to have achieved the following learning outcomes defined in terms of knowledge, skills and competence:

    Knowledge:

    The student

    • has broad knowledge of illness and treatment in cases of injuries to the nervous system, the movement apparatus, digestive system, kidneys and urinary tract
    • has knowledge of illness, injuries and treatment of the reproductive organs and breasts
    • has knowledge of illness and treatment of the eyes, ears, nose and throat
    • has knowledge of traumatology
    • has knowledge of paediatric illnesses and treatments
    • has knowledge of general pre- and post-operative treatment
    • has knowledge of postoperative pain treatment in children and adults
    • has knowledge of pharmacology, fluid therapy and transfusion treatment
    • has knowledge of care theory and care ethics, self-determination and co-determination and treatment limitation
    • has knowledge of management and working environment in the specialist health service
    • has knowledge of quality and quality development in the specialist health service
    • has knowledge of first aid in accordance with the ABC principle

    Skills:

    The student

    • is capable of finding, assessing and referring to relevant research articles in order to verbally elucidate nursing issues
    • masters CPR using a defibrillator on adults, CPR on children and taking blood samples

    Competence:

    The student

    • has insight into professional and ethical issues relating to treatment in the specialist health service
    • has insight into nursing work in interdisciplinary cooperation
    • is prepared to identify and communicate areas with a need of quality development
    • demonstrates responsibility for development of their own professional competence
  • Teaching and learning methods

    Kunnskaper

    Studenten

    • har grunnleggende kunnskaper om profesjonsetikk, herunder journalistisk etikk knyttet til innholdsproduksjon.
    • kjenner til aktuelle lover, regler og rettigheter av betydning for journalistikk, informasjons- og kommunikasjonsarbeid, herunder Vær-Varsom plakaten, personvern, kildenes rettigheter, offentlighetsloven, opphavsrettigheter og redaktøransvaret

    Ferdigheter

    Studenten

    • kan foreta gode profesjonsetiske og kildekritiske vurderinger
    • kan analysere uttrykksformer fra flere medier på en kritisk og reflektert måte

  • Assessment

    Emnet strekker seg over ett semester. Arbeidsformene vil veksle mellom forelesninger, seminarer, gruppearbeid, gruppegjennomganger, oppgaveløsninger og øvinger.

    Forelesninger, simulering, gruppearbeid, seminar og selvstudier.

  • Grading scale

    Ingen forkunnskapskrav.

    Bachelorstudiet i medier og kommunikasjon har generelle progresjonsbestemmelser (se programplan).;

    Emnet strekker seg over ett semester. Arbeidsformene vil veksle mellom forelesninger, mentormøter, studentframlegg, seminarer og kollokviearbeid.
