Introduction

Required preliminary courses

Undervisningsformene vil variere mellom forelesninger, kollokviearbeid, gruppe- og individuelle veiledninger, case arbeid og digitale læringsverktøy. Det forventes arbeid mellom undervisningsøktene som for eksempel lese en artikkel, skrive en kort refleksjon, forberede et lite faglig innlegg til undervisningen eller lignende. Undervisningen vil ta utgangspunkt i studentenes erfaringer fra øvrig undervisning, og innholdet vil støtte opp under studiekompetansen studentene trenger for å delta der.

After completing the course, the student is expected to have achieved the following learning outcomes defined in terms of knowledge, skills and competence:

Knowledge

The student is capable of

  • naming anatomical structures and organs in the human body
  • describing where organs are located in relation to each other
  • describing anatomical structure in terms of
    • macroanatomical: organs and organ systems
    • microanatomical: cells and tissues
  • describing the function of different organs and organ systems in the body
  • describing normal physiology in the various organs and organ systems
  • describing regulation mechanisms and homoeostasis in a healthy body

Skills

The student

  • is capable of disseminating basic knowledge of human anatomy and organ systems and of physiological and biochemical processes

Competence

The student

  • recognises the importance of knowledge of the topic for practising professional nursing

Teaching and learning methods

Lectures, group work, written assignments, supervision, multiple choice and self-study.

Course requirements

The following required coursework must be approved before the student can take the exam:

  • 80% attendance at seminars
  • 60% correct digital multiple choice assignments

Assessment

Supervised individual written exam, 4 hours.

Ordinary exam: National examination body (two examiners). Resits/rescheduled exams: Two examiners.
