Course history

Introduction

I dette emnet skal du videreutvikle kunnskap om menneskers grunnleggende behov og ressurser. Reaksjoner, opplevelser og tegn på helsesvikt er sentrale tema i emnet. Du skal utvikle ferdigheter i observasjon og kartlegging av pasienters grunnleggende behov og ressurser i klinisk praksis. Du får også erfaring med kommunikasjon med pasienter og deres pårørende. Du skal gjennomføre 7 uker praksis i dette emnet.

Required preliminary courses

Assessment in practical training.

The assessment takes its point of departure in given criteria based on learning outcomes for the course, criteria for failing the practical training, criteria for suitability assessment and compulsory activities carried throughout the practical training. Students’ practical training can only be assessed if their attendance is sufficiently high (90%). For more information, see the general part of the programme description about the assessment of practical training.

If the student has failed the practical training, the whole practical training course must be retaken. This includes associated requirements.

Teaching and learning methods

Til del 1 - Vurdering i praksis

Praksisstudier krever tilstedeværelse 90 %. Studenten fyller ut egenpresentasjonsskjema til praksisstart og egenvurderingsskjema til midt- og sluttvurdering. Andre obligatoriske aktiviteter som inngår i vurderingen av praksis er:

  • Individuell oppgave, Omfang: 1500 ord (+/- 10 %).

Til del 2 Individuell prøve- praktiske ferdigheter i sykepleie (modifisert OSCE-test):

For å fremstille seg til eksamen del 2 må følgende være godkjent:

  • Deltagelse på SF-enhet, 90 % tilstedeværelse av timeplanfestet aktivitet merket obligatorisk.
  • Inspirasjonspraksis, 1 uke, obligatorisk 90 % tilstedeværelse. Fokus på sykepleiers rolle og funksjon. Fortrinnsvis veiledet av tredje års studenter (gjennomføres i høstsemesteret).

Course requirements

  • Completed course SYKK/SYKP1410 Diseases and Health Deficits, 13 credits.
  • Passed course SYKK/SYKP1310 Administration of Medicine, 2 credits.

Assessment

The bachelor’s theses are normally written in groups of 2-3 students. If the project’s topic is interprofessional, the project group can also include a student from another bachelor’s programme, subject to the approval of the person responsible for the course at both programmes.

The work and teaching methods include lectures, seminars, supervision and self-study in the project group. At the start, project sketching seminars are arranged, including a half-day seminar with presentation of the project sketch and feedback on fellow students' project sketching. Halfway into the project, students meet to present the preliminary project status and provide input to fellow students for use in the completion of the projects.

Students are assigned a supervisor after submitting a project outline. The supervision is based on written project material and specific questions submitted by the student group ahead of the supervision session. Each group receives two (2) hours of supervision on the project outline during the seminars, and three (3) hours of individual project supervision.

Permitted exam materials and equipment

The following must have been approved in order for the student to take the exam:

  • participation in seminar in connection with presentation of the project outline (half a day)
  • project outline, subject to more detailed criteria. The project outline will be subject to assessment and must be approved before the work on the project begins
  • a presentation at the midway seminar of project status and, if relevant, a risk assessment of personal data processing

Del 2 Bestått-Ikke bestått.

Examiners

Del 1 Kontaktlærer godkjenner etter innstilling fra praksisveileder. Endelig vedtak om bestått/ikke bestått fattes av universitetet.

Del 2 Minimum fire interne og en ekstern sensor.

Sensor gir poeng etter forhåndsbestemte sjekklister med kriterier basert på læringsutbytte i emnet.
