  • Learning outcomes

    On completion of the course, the student is expected to have achieved the following in terms of knowledge, skills and general competence:

    Knowledge

    The student

    • has knowledge of production methods, appropriate techniques and the qualities of different materials in connection with the development of functional activewear.
    • has knowledge of sustainability related to the sports industry.
    • has knowledge of relevant research and development work in the field.

    Skills

    The student

    • can develop their own collection of activewear.
    • can develop designs by means of manual and digital tools.
    • can design and manufacture clothing with particular attention to function, shape, technique and materialsappropriate to sports and leisure activities.

    General competence

    The student

    • can reflect on and analyse function, shape, technique and materials and how they relate to each other.
    • can plan and carry out varied tasks and projects that take place over time, individually or as part of a group/team, and in accordance with ethical requirements and guidelines.
    • can identify and employ suitable work methods for their own work.
  • Teaching and learning methods

    Følgende arbeidskrav må være godkjent før studenten kan fremstille seg til eksamen:

    • minimum 80 % tilstedeværelse på seminarer og ferdighetstrening
    • 2 individuelle prosessbeskrivelser (klinisk/teknisk) á 1500 ord (+/- 5 %), basert på læringsutbytter under ferdigheter

    Arbeidskrav i INTER1300: «Kommunikasjon med barn og unge»

    • innlevert individuell logg. Omfang: 500 ord +/- 10%. For å kunne skrive loggen, må studenten først ha deltatt på seminar over to dager.
  • Course requirements

    Det benyttes intern og ekstern sensor til sensurering av alle besvarelsene.

  • Assessment

    The exam comprises a practical work and a written reflection paper. The practical work and the paper are assessed together.

    The exam will be assessed on submission of:

    A practical work

    • The practical work comprises a capsule collection of activewear clothing, that explores a topic from the course selected by the student. It must include the following:
    • Design and manufacture of minimum two outfits.
    • Documentation of the work process with references to the choice of work methods and tools, the collection of insight material for the practical and written work, and the selection of aesthetic devices made during the period.

    Written paper

    • The reflection note should address the practical work and should be around 3,000 words long.

    The assignment is submitted digitally together with the practical work. One overall grade is awarded for the work submitted.

    The paper must comply with the guidelines for written assignments and relevant literature from the syllabus must be used. See the teaching plans for more information about the exam.

    The exam result can be appealed.

  • Permitted exam materials and equipment

    All aids are permitted, provided the rules for source referencing are met.

  • Grading scale

    • 15 studiepoeng overlapp med ORTO3300 Ortopeditekniske hjelpemidler til overekstremiteten og disartikulasjonsproteser til underekstremiteten.

  • Examiners

    One examiner and one co-examiner (assesses a selection of the assignments). External examiners are used regularly.

  • Overlapping courses

    10 ECTS overlap with KDM2400.
