Introduction
The course will give the student insight into health and function in children and adolescents, with emphasis on arenas for habilitation, rehabilitation and everyday life. Interventions aimed at children and young people often require collaboration with actors from other professional groups, and such interprofessional collaboration will be highlighted through this course. The course will also focus on measures for the inclusion of children and young people in education, work and society.

Learning outcomes
After completion the course, the students should have the following learning outcomes defined in terms of knowledge, skills and general competence:
Knowledge
The students can
- give an account of rehabilitation and habilitation as an area of knowledge
- account for measurement methods for mapping children's activity, participation and quality of life
- account for factors of importance for children and young people's participation in education, work and society
Skills
The student can
- plan and discuss rehabilitative and habilitative measures for children and young people
- identify the need for interprofessional collaboration aimed at including children and young people in education, work and society
General competence
The student can
- give an account of children and young people's right to participate in decision-making processes
- reflect on their own role in interprofessional collaboration

Teaching and learning methods
The work and teaching methods in the course include lectures, seminars, presentations and self-study.

Course requirements
The following must have been approved in order for the student to take the exam:
- Minimum of 80 % attendance in teaching activities marked as "compulsory attendance" in the schedule

Assessment
Oral exam in groups of 3-5 students, up to 30 minutes.

No aids permitted.

Grading scale
Pass/Fail.

Examiners
All answers are assessed by two examiners. An external examiner is used regularly, at a minimum for every third ordinary examination.
