Bestått alle emner og praksisopplæring fra 2. studieår.

Etter å ha gjennomført dette emnet har studenten følgende læringsutbytte - definert som kunnskap, ferdigheter og generell kompetanse.

Arbeidsformene veksler mellom forelesninger, selvstudium og ulike former for gruppearbeid. Bacheloroppgaven er forankret i profesjonsfaget. Profesjonsfaget integreres i verkstedsperiodene. Arbeidsmåtene omfatter øvelse i ulike veilednings- og vurderingsformer.

After completing this course, the student has the following learning outcomes, defined as knowledge, skills and general competence:

Knowledge

The student:

• has basic knowledge of relevant processes and methods related to artistic work
• has insight into art history, art and dissemination theory, as well as philosophical aesthetics

Skills

The student:

• can explore and experiment in various artistic processes
• can select and use suitable strategies in artistic, written, and oral communication
• can disseminate art to a selected target group
• can use artistic tools and relevant theory in own projects

General competence

The student:

• has knowledge of diversity and multicultural perspectives
• has insight into copyright matters related to the subject area
• has knowledge of ethical challenges affecting the subject area

The course is organized in the form of artistic work and theoretical studies. Project work is an essential part of the study. Teaching takes place with an emphasis on progression, from common basic tasks to independently chosen topics. Presence in the workshop and active participation in the teaching are required. The course uses teaching methods such as lectures, seminars, supervision and debates. The student is expected to obtain relevant subject matter beyond the syllabus and is encouraged to use the learning centers and the resources offered there.

The following work requirements are mandatory and must be approved to appear for the exam:

Project 1: Exploration and experimentation I (individual work):

• An artistic work that includes process work and final product.
• An academic text related to the artistic work (1200 words +/-10%).

Project 2: Communication of contemporary art to specific target groups (group work):

• Group work related to the dissemination of contemporary art to specific target groups with the preparation and implementation of a dissemination design.
• A group report (the number of words depends on the project and will be specified in the work requirement).

Project 3: Exploration and experimentation II (group work):

• An artistic work that includes process work and final product.
• An oral and visual group presentation that describes, discusses, and analyzes the artistic work.

Project 4: Communication text: Individual work with

• a dissemination text of 200 words (+/-10%).

In order to take the exam, the student's absence must not have exceeded 20%.

An individual exam project consisting of the following parts:

• An artistic work that is followed by a communication text (200 words +/- 10%).
• An academic text (1200 words +/- 10%).

Grades are given based on an overall assessment of the parts described.

The exam result can be appealed.

All aids are permitted, if the rules for source referencing are complied with.
