None beyond admission requirements, but an advantage of basic knowledge in chemistry and physics

Required preliminary courses

Parts 1 and 2: Grade scale A-F.

Learning outcomes

Part 1): All answers are reviewed by one examiner. An external examiner is regularly involved in the design of assignment sets and assessment criteria, at least every third completion of the course.

Part 2): All answers are assessed by two examiners. An external examiner is used regularly, at a minimum of every third completion of the course. When selecting answers for external evaluation, a minimum of 10 percent of the answers shall be included, with no fewer than 5 answers. The external examiner’s assessment of the selected answers shall benefit all students.

Teaching and learning methods

  • 10 credits overlap with the course ORTO1100 Anatomy and Physiology.

Course requirements

The following work requirements are mandatory and must be approved to sit for the exam:

  • 5 laboratory assignments in a group
  • 4 written exercises of 2-3 printed pages

The purpose of the work requirement is to provide students with an academic basis for written examinations.

Assessment

The exam consist of two parts:

1) Project assignment in groups, counts 30 %. Possibility of individual grading.

2) Individual written exam under supervision of 3 hours that counts 70 %

In the event of a new and postponed individual written examination, an oral examination form can be used. Exam results cannot then be appealed.

All written and printed aid allowed at the project

All written and printed aid allowed and calculator, under the written exam.

Grading scale

Graded scale A-F.
