After completing the course, the student is expected to have achieved the following learning outcomes defined in terms of knowledge, skills and competence:

The student can:
- explain the purpose of the practical training establishment
- describe the legal basis for the establishment
Skills
The student can:
- measure behavior in expedient ways
- describe expedient methods to establish, increase and maintain behaviour
- propose expedient behaviour to replace inexpedient behaviour
- facilitate generalisation and continuation of behaviour changes
- analyse collected data and presenting these in a graph or figure

General competence
The student
- can describe behaviour analysis’ areas of application
- can discuss ethical issues linked to behavior change
- is capable of discussing ethical issues linked to data collection and observation
- is capable of describing judicial factors that affect data collection and observation, with particular weight on consent, information exchange and storage of personal data
- has professional understanding, relational skills and professional qualifications that are required by the practical training establishment
Learning outcomes
The practical training requirements are participation in work in the workplace/the establishment, activities that promote the learning outcomes and compliance with the university's general practical training requirements. This general requirements can be found in Canvas.
Teaching and learning methods
- Submission of planning documents for practical training
- Participation in work at the practical training establishment (minimum attendance of 90%)
- Participation at seminars at the university
- Compliance with general practical training requirements
All required coursework must be approved before the student’s practical training can be assessed.
Course requirements
1. Assessment of practical training
2. Individual written assignment related to practical training, approx. 2,000 words. Special criteria have been developed to assess this. If the report mentions information about people and/or their behavior, OsloMet and the Department for Behavioral Sciences' current rules for privacy and consent must be observed. When a fail grade is awarded for the written assignment, the student is permitted to submit a reworked version.

For part 1: Not relevant
For part 2: All aids are permitted, as long as the rules for source referencing are complied with

For part 1: The person responsible for the course following a recommendation from the practical training supervisor
For part 2: One internal and one external examiner
The practical training supervisor must submit a recommendation on whether the practical training has been passed before the individual assignment is assessed
