BLH1120 Children`s Development, Play and Learning 2 Course description

Se emneplan.

Upon completion of the module, the student is expected to have the following learning outcomes defined in knowledge, skills, and competence:

Knowledge

The student:

• has in-depth knowledge of design and development processes
• has good knowledge of sustainability and resource use related to the field of design
• can apply design methodology in a societal context
• is familiar with relevant research and development work

Skills

The student:

• can apply appropriate work methods and develop solutions adapted to specific contexts
• can work independently and reflect critically on their own professional practice
• can develop design solutions that take into account sustainability and resource use
• can apply creativity and innovation in their projects

General Competence

The student:

• can contextualize their work as a designer and contribute positively to a societal and sustainability perspective through projects
• can communicate ethical challenges that affect the field, especially within sustainability
• has insight into copyright issues related to the field.

The Final Major Project can be undertaken as a group project or individually.

This is conducted through independent study, workshops, tutorials and milestone meetings.

The following coursework is compulsory and must be approved before the student can take the exam:

• Detailed project description

• Minimum 80% attendance in lectures, workshops, milestone meetings defined by the course responsible.

• Reflective note

• Individual or group delivery of materials for digital catalogue / presentation of project in public context

Individuell muntlig eksamen.

Eksamen består av en 10 minutter PowerPoint-presentasjon av et tildelt tema og 10 minutter samtale om fagstoff knyttet til emnet. Tema tildeles tidlig i semesteret.

Ny/utsatt eksamen

Ny/utsatt eksamen arrangeres som ved ordinær eksamen. Tildelt tema fra første forsøk beholdes i nytt forsøk. Studentens rettigheter og plikter ved ny/utsatt eksamen framgår av Forskrift om studier og eksamen ved OsloMet. Studenter er selv ansvarlige for å melde seg opp til eventuell ny/utsatt eksamen.

Eksamen vurderes etter gradert skala fra A til E for bestått og F for ikke bestått.

Det benyttes to interne sensorer. Det er knyttet tilsynssensor til utdanningen som evaluerer vurderingsordningen i emnet.
