Programme description

  • Introduction

    The following must have been approved in order for the student to take the exam:

    • participate in at least 1 of 2 seminars

  • Required preliminary courses

    Individual home examination (multiple choice), 45 minutes.

    The multiple choice test is given partial in English and Norwegian.

  • Learning outcomes

    All aids are permitted.

  • Content

    The course consists of the following subject areas, specified below as the number of credits:

    • Ethics, profession and health legislation: 3 credits
    • Communication and interaction: 2 credits

    One external and one internal examiner control the set of questions, the internal examiner controls the answers.

  • Examiners

    All exam papers are assessed by two examiners. A minimum of fifty per cent of the exam papers will be assessed by an external examiner. The external examiner’s assessment shall benefit all students.

  • Overlapping courses

    5 credits overlap with the course BIO1000 The Foundation and Basis of the Health Professions.
