Introduction
The course is organised into a series of six four-hour long lectures and seminars. Students are expected to play an active role in lectures and seminars. Lectures are given by both the course lecturer and invited lecturers. Students will also be required to present papers, and discuss course themes during lectures and seminars.

Det anbefales at dette emnet tas etter emnet Facility Management (FM) i organisasjoner. Det vil hjelpe studenten i å plassere den yrkespedagogiske innsikten inn i et FM-perspektiv.

Required preliminary courses
Students must submit a work requirement of 11 pages (+/-10%) on a course topic, preferably written in groups of 3-5 students. The paper must be approved by the course lecturer. Students whose papers are not approved after the first submission will be given the chance to resubmit once.Papers that are not approved after two submissions will disqualify students from sitting the final examination.

Learning outcomes
The student-s learning outcome will be assessed on the basis of an individual six-hour written school examination.
Students who have failed a regular examination are entitled to sit a new examination.

Teaching and learning methods
Students may use a spelling dictionary, as well as a bilingual dictionary during this written school exam.

Course requirements
Students are awarded grades on a descending scale from A to E for pass and F for fail.

Assessment
The written exam will be assessed by an internal and external examiner. The external examiner grades a random sample consisting of at least 20 per cent of the written exams. The grades given for this sample provide a basis for the internal examiner-s assessment. The external examiner will also grade papers where there is doubt about giving a grade of pass.

Examiners
Det benyttes intern og ekstern sensor til sensurering av besvarelsene.; Et uttrekk på minst 25 % av besvarelsene sensureres av to sensorer. Karakterene på disse samsensurerte besvarelsene skal danne grunnlag for å fastsette nivå på resten av besvarelsene.

Opptakskrav
For enkeltemnestudenter kreves generell studiekompetanse.
Søkere uten generell studiekompetanse kan vurderes på grunnlag av realkompetanse. Ved vurdering av realkompetanse gjelder generelle bestemmelser i Retningslinjer for opptak på grunnlag av realkompetanse ved OsloMet - storbyuniversitetet.
Godkjent realkompetanse er yrkespraksis i tilknytning til forvaltning, drift og vedlikehold av bygg, hvorav minst ett år er i lederstilling.
