    Med utgangspunkt i en funksjonsanalytisk tilnærming behandler emnet teoretiske og metodiske prinsipper for organisering, planlegging og sikring av arkivfunksjonen i en virksomhet, inkludert kravspesifikasjon til elektroniske arkivsystemer.

  • Learning outcomes

    Little and lightweight equipment has led to the video journalist (VJ), who is both a journalist, a video photographer and editor. It is both exciting and challenging that a person can do this alone: The VJ is expected to work in a journalistic manner with the technical narrative possibilities available when using a video-camera, interviews and editing. The genres the VJ works with are also in strong development with new digital platforms, and there is a lot of exciting research and development work in video journalism.

    Knowledge

    The student

    • is capable of analysing VJ clips and news stories for television and internet
    • has advanced knowledge of dramaturgy and structuring of the clips for television and the internet
    • has in-depth knowledge of video-journalistic narratives and web broadcasting for new digital platforms
    • has advanced knowledge of discussing VJ clips, and analysis and reflection with regards to how these clips represent reality

    Skills

    The student is capable of

    • working independently as a video journalist
    • filming and editing VJ clips and news stories for television and the internet
    • conducting good interviews as a video journalist
    • mastering the narrative technique, image compositions and editing techniques in different new digital platforms
    • analysing and taking a critical approach to interview techniques, camera techniques, photo compositions and editing techniques

    Competence

    The student

    • has advanced competence in presenting both academic and journalistic material
    • is capable of applying knowledge and skills to new areas, also within video journalism
    • is capable of applying journalistic skills through analysis work and own practice
  • Assessment

    Forelesningar (interne og eksterne), studentdrevne aktivitetar, redaksjonsbesøk, opplæring i kamera og redigeringsprogram, workshops, individuelt arbeid og rettleiing.

  • Permitted exam materials and equipment

    The coursework requirements comprise a video clip for television or the internet (up to five minutes long) produced as video journalism, and a method report of approximately five pages. This assignment must be submitted and approved before the student can take the examination.

    The student has up to three attempts at having an assignment approved. If the student does not meet the coursework requirements, he/she will lose the right to take the exam.

  • Grading scale

    A video clip for television or the internet (of up to five minutes) produced as video journalism and a reflection note of between eight to ten pages, in font size 12, Times New Roman, with 1.5 line spacing.

    The reflection note must be linked to a topic that is relevant to the video journalist¿s work and to the video clip. The grade is awarded on the basis of an overall assessment.
