Introduction
This course deals with a variety of tasks related to the process of web development. It both expands on earlier courses that have covered user analysis, web technologies and the organization of data and digital documents and introduces new topics. Among these are information architecture, practical skills in publishing tools, user testing and project management including the development of requirement specifications, prototypes and user testing.

Course requirements
The following coursework requirements must be approved in order for the student to take the exam:
- Coursework: .
- Completion of two written assignment (up to 6 pages). The coursework will be carried out in groups of four students, comprising different nationalities if possible.
- Oral presentation in class, of a research article, book chapter, or business case (approx. 20 to 25 minutes), carried out in groups of four students comprising comprising different nationalities if possible.
The required coursework must be completed and approved by the given deadline in order for the student to take the exam. If one or more coursework requirements have not been approved, the students will be given one opportunity to submit an improved version within a given deadline.
Assessment
All utilities allowed as long as the rules for source reference are followed.

Grading scale
Assessment of Web Development will be by two submissions - an individual term paper (15,000-20,000 characters including spaces) and a group-based project (a practical work related to a set of web development tasks). The group must submit a report (18,000-25,000 characters including spaces) describing their work and documenting the outcomes. The topic of the project must be approved by the tutors. Font: Arial/ Calibri. Size: 12 point. Line spacing: 1.5.
The term paper accounts for 60% of the grade, while the remaining 40% comes from the group-based project. The student must pass both parts to pass the course.
If the project work fail, the whole group need to sit the new examination.
In case the term paper/ report does not pass, the students can revise the paper once.
